My 8 year old is obsessed with comics. So I have been taking him to Bunjee’s at least once a month for the past year. It’s a great place. The owner is very helpful and very nice to my kids. The new comics are displayed around the wall of the store. Back issues are filed in boxes. Super organized compared to some shops I have been to. Also has great toy selection.

I used to collect comic books in my younger days, but now I just buy a title or two. Therefore, I only visit this place about once per month. Still, the owner remembers who I am and always provides a pleasant greeting. If I need help, he’s more than happy to provide it and discuss comic books with me. He is very knowledgeable. If I don’t need help, he leaves me alone until it’s time to check out. The place is kind of crowded, but that’s only because there are so many titles, action figures, etc. in the place. There is always plenty of things to browse and so far, the prices on the back issues I’ve purchased were reasonable. Overall, I enjoy visiting this place and briefly chatting with the owner. I feel good about spending my money at a local business like this.

Loved this place. Clean, neat, organized– with LOTS of comics, graphic novels, and action figures. Also– it helps that as a girl, I felt welcome and was treated with respect whenever I had questions. I cannot tell you how many snobby comic books stores I’ve been to that have been not so kind just because of my gender. That was not the case here. One of my favorite places I visited on my birthday, and now that I’ve moved to the area, I’m certain I’ll spend way too much of my money here.

On a random Wednesday, I stopped Bunjee’s on my way through McDonough on I 75. I was the only person in the store, and got to chat quite a bit with the owner, who was very friendly and helpful. Didn’t try to push anything on me, just chatted about new books. The store itself was clean, not a stereotypical LCS with a musty smell. Yes there were piles of HCs and TPBs, but nothing was dusty. All the new releases were marked on the shelves. Easy store to navigate, had a ton of HCs and TPBs on shelves, some nice older stuff I hadn’t seen in a while. Great store, would be my regular LCS if I were closer.

It breaks my geeky heart to witness the painful decline of comic book shops. Ergo, I’m glad that I took the long route home one afternoon and happened upon Bunjee’s Comics. Bunjee’s Comics is a neat, well organized shop full of the latest and greatest in comics/graphic novels, and even the more obscure titles as well! There are some deals to be found here, though most of the current/recent titles are slightly more expensive than I expected, or exactly on the retail price point. Also, as I’ve discovered at most comic shops, Bunjee’s Comics seems to believe that all comic book fans are as rotund as Comic Book Guy from«The Simpsons.» Almost all of the shirts are Large, XL, or XXL! UGH! Comic book stores may be the only businesses that discriminate against slender people! Notwithstanding, there’s plenty of superhero paraphernalia at Bunjee’s that will make you geek out, and they feature a rather impressive assortment of action figures, trade paperbacks, and hardcovers. Just don’t make the mistake of visiting on Monday, which is the only day of the week when Bunjee’s is closed. So, if you’re in the area, consider Bunjee’s Comics to rekindle your nostalgic love of comics. Excelsior!
