My review is for installation services in Locust Grove, GA. Daniel arrived on time and he was professional, friendly and worked quickly to get my t. v, internet and phone set up. I would recommend Daniel for installation of your Charter package!

A few reasons why you may receive poor customer service. people are not trained some people just don’t care some people don’t feel appreciated or valued problems outside of the office burnt out whatever the case this young lady was not happy and I had nothing to do with it

I read in another review that this was rated as the worst company in America? Well, that is some type of satisfaction for us. Where we live, we pretty much have NO other choice for cable+internet, otherwise we would have dropped them early on. This is not a review of the store in Stockbridge, but of the Charter service. First, the service, especially the cable, is bad. Every other week, typically on the weekends, the service is down, or choppy for a few hours. We have called numerous times and they have come for service to our place as well, never permanently fixing the problem. I believe, last time, one of the service guys told us «it’s not us, it;s them», meaning they don’t have enough capacity to serve everybody in the area, that is why so many technical problems. On top of that, EVERY time they will send someone in, they would charge us $ 50. For fixing their own mistakes. They indeed would remove the charge once we called their customer care and explained everything once and again… How frustrating! We pay about $ 160/month to get frustrated and to eventually be overcharged with what? Something that should provide fun, relaxation, and entertainment. It is for that reason I have not signed up for autopay. Cause I want to constantly monitor/control my bill. Of course, if you are 11 days late, which we have been a couple of times during summer while on vacation, they will hit you with a $ 8 late fee, which comes 2 bills after the late, one, meaning once you have already paid 2 bills already! Makes no sense, especially for someone who has never defaulted or was late for more than 2 weeks and always pays two months in one later on. So get this, mid August, I pay $ 300+. Beginning of September, my bill comes $ 300+(they had not yet processed the double payment) plus the fee. «How were we to know that you paid?» told me the rep on the phone, since the statement was published 2(!) days before your payment went through(it was a weekend, but oh well). How??? Cause if I can see it, so should you!!! Terrible, terrible company, money grabbers, and completely ignorant of customer appreciation.

I know Charter’s reputation. We deal with them in SC as well and have had some issues, but they are always eventually resolved. My parents had only had Charter for a short time before my dad passed away. When my mom and I went to the local office to change service into her name, Terri helped us quickly and treated us with such kindness and respect. The same day, after business hours, my mom’s phone service curiously went out. After speaking with two different«customer service representatives» at the national call line, nothing was resolved and it was recommended that we exchange our modem at the local office. A service call was also made for THREEDAYSLATER. As I was leaving for SC the following day, this was not an option. I wasn’t going to leave my recently widowed mother without phone service. So, the following morning I showed up at the local office with modem in hand, and luckily had Terri helping me once again. I was first told that the call center was wrong, and I could not exchange a telephone modem. This has to be done by a technician. She immediately put the wheels in motion to have my mother’s phone service repaired that day and assured me a technician would be at the house between 1 – 3:00. At 2:55, a friendly technician showed up and within 10 minutes, service was restored. As it turns out, the problem was an error made by a previous technician and it was just a fluke that the service went out when it did. It was also something the national CSRs should have been able to help us with over the phone but they were/are obviously inadequately trained, which is distressing. So, the five stars are not so much for Charter as a whole but to the local office in Stockbridge. We are thankful the issue occurred while we were in town so we could help my mom with the resolution. We also thank Terri and recommend a raise for this very kind and compassionate employee who knows how to get the job done.

Zero stars. Don’t make the mistake of signing up with Charter! Look at Charter’s terrible reviews everywhere. Consumerist magazine(not-for-profit subsidiary of Consumer Reports) calls Charter the«worst company in America.» It’s no wonder Charter went bankrupt a few years ago. This sleazy firm’s business practices include: — cutting your satellite cable, then insisting that customer fight with Charter’s 3rd party unlicensed contractor instead of honestly owning up to their mistake and correcting it. — moving your first bill due date ahead after first bill, without prior notification(told this is a «standard» Charter procedure on 2nd bill) — insisting that customers wait 45 days(unbelievable but true) for Charter’s Autopay system to take effect, then warning that double payments may occur when customer attempts to make a one-time payment prior to the interim due date(as a safety measure) — moving from CSR agents in South Carolina to the Phillipines, where they lie to customers by claiming healthy account status with zero problems and confirming Autopay sign up weeks ago, then cutting off all services including(Emergency 911) shortly thereafter, without prior notice — migrating from helpful humans to speak with or chat online(about no-service issues) to worthless automated systems — poor no-service reliability I really wanted to love Charter. Our credit history is well above 700 and we always pay bills on time. But after several serious attempts to cooperate with Charter, acting as a good customer to straighten out their billing errors, all of our attempts have been futile. I recommend that prospective customers view the 800+ complaints about Charter on another website, plus other sites, before wasting your time. If you like unethical business practices, you’ll love Charter!

Dealt with a gentleman that handle my situation with world class service. He not only solved my issue but looked up my account and saw that I was eligible for a free HD receiver. My wife and I appreciated everything the young man did for us.
