Good beer and atmosphere. Great place to hang out. Had the chicken and waffles sandwich which was pretty good.

Cool place, don’t come rushed it’s just not that kind of a place. It’s the kind of place where you hang out and enjoy the people your with. I’ve haven’t been at night where it appears to be a bar but when I’ve been during the day, the kids like it. Picky young people can get a hot dog and adventurous folks will enjoy the artsy take on the options. ex. Cranberry mayo on the smoked turkey sand. Seat yourself in rows of seats so don’t be shy. Couches around to hangout before or after your meal and a few TVs so you don’t mis any action.

Great beer selection and atmosphere. Chicken and waffle sandwich is wonderful. Had a graham cracker flavored beer and it was delicious. Long tables to sit at. Love music. Sofas and chairs. Darts and corn hole.

My daughter and I waited over an hour for a turkey sandwich and a hot dog. The waitress came twice during the wait and apologized, but it wasn’t her fault. She did say she would get our check discounted. When the food came, one side of the hot dog bun was rock hard and inedible. The hot dog was tough. It appeared that it might have been microwaved a couple of times. Then it was almost 30 minutes to get the check and it wasn’t discounted. I’ve eaten there several times and it just gets slower and the food isn’t all that good. I won’t be back.

I need to spend more time in McDonough. I had the pleasure of visiting this establishment during a quick lunch meeting. What a find! «City Sweets & The Deep South Deli» is not really a pub, and it’s not really a deli. Deep South Deli IS a great restaurant, with solid food offerings on a well-planned menu, and a full bar to boot(with a rotating selection of local brews on tap). Deep South Deli does breakfast and lunch. They’re primarily known for their pastries, salads, and sandwiches. I had a Roast Turkey sandwich, cranberry, toasted ciabatta and provolone. Delicious. It’s a simple enough combination of things, but it was fantastic. And our server was friendly, quick and efficient. I think we were in and out of there in just under an hour during a busy lunch day. I’m told the Chicken & Waffle sandwich is the kind of thing which will fill you up and keep you sated for the rest of the day. Oh, and the Shrimp & Grits is said to be a hands-down winner. I may have to try that next time I’m there. They call it an «open-air» market. I’m not sure this is entirely correct, since we were indoors and under a roof. Maybe I missed something. But make no mistake – I found the atmosphere to be very comfortable – unpretentious. As I said at the start of this review. I need to spend more time in McDonough. This place(and a few others like it, nearby) are well worth exploring. Holler if you’re coming with.

This is a funky place with lots of fun décor and events. The food is great and the crowd is lively. Not really for kids in the evening.
