La-Z-Boy

Didn’t purchase this go around but I’ve started looking for a replacement for my old sofa set. This place isn’t as bad as most furniture places you go into. The high pressure tactics didn’t take place here. The sales people were attentive but not over bearing. The furniture was nice comfortable and there are tons of color to choose from. I’m still looking but Lazy boy your still on my short list.

The experience has been terrible. Delivery took way too long. And now after two or three years of having this recliner, it has broken, because in specific area of the recliner they utilize plastic connectors. Now they want to charge me $ 70.00 to come and put in a new plastic connector, which will assuradly break again. The sales staff was very rude and failed to help me resolve this issue. I am disgusted. I thought I was buying quality American made product, but have found out that I was lied to. The plastic parts are in there on purpose so that they will break and cause you to go buy another recliner. There was no reason for them to use cheap plastic on the main mechanism for opening and closing the Recliner foot rest. I have only used this recliner on very rare ocassions, but now it is useless. My only recourse now is to at least let other buyers of furniture from Lay-​Z-​Boy be warned of the defective plastic connectors they use in specific breaking points within the chair. This is not the kind of recliner that will last 10 to 15 years. I overpaid for this and the additional furniture I bought. I should have gone ahead and bought the furniture made in China, as I have a Chinese recliner upstairs that has lasted more than 10 years. Next time that will be the deal. And as I have always kept in the back of my mind, «No good dead i.e. (helping American Workers} goes unpunished.

After my first review I am happy to say that Lazyboy fixed my chair for no charge. The staff at the warehouse are very nice. I hope that the repair last and I don’t have anymore problems. Thanks for taking care of the issue.

I’d love to be able to tell you how wonderful my new furniture is, but here it is a month later and I still havent received it! They cashed my check right away, but my last phone call two days ago, to beg for a delivery date, they discovered the love seat had not even been built yet… REALLY??? The sales team at the store were great, 5 stars. The manufacturing/​shipping needs a lot of help. My first (of many) phone calls was answered by a girl laughing and a room full of guys in the background acting like kids and making weird noises. Very unprofessional! I chose La-​Z-​Boy because of their product ratings, customer experience ratings, and their good name. I’m hoping I’m just that rare customer that has fallen off their radar (for whatever reason!?!)

Beware if you get the recycling discoccunt. Be absolutly sure, that they will pick up and haul off your old couch. The delivery guys said my
old lazy boy couch was not recyclable, and left it on the porch. I am very annoyed. If there had been a warning that they might stick me with my old recliner sofa, I would have bought a sofa somewhere else. The new couch is very nice and it is certainly comfortable, I gave the sofa a 5, and the haul-​off zero
so the average is 3.
