I’ve lived in McDonough for pretty much my whole life and have passed by here many of times. I stopped by for the first time today and I’m so glad I did. It’s local American owned and the people that work there are extremely friendly and helpful. I asked a bunch of questions such as the different types of honey, where some of the produce comes from, the timing of some of the produce and the guy was kindly answering all of them for me. They have any thing you can think of… eggs, meat, local honey of different types(wildflower, sour, blackberry, etc.), jam, watermelon, cantaloupe, onions, squash, peaches, beans, apples, plants, and my favorite, boiled peanuts. They are reasonably priced and if you pay more for an item then that’s what’s expected for supporting locally owned businesses. They also have a lot of samples for you to try. You can try anything from tomatoes, peaches, to getting a spoon of honey. The blackberry honey was pretty delicious. Blackberry honey $ 8 3 large Georgia peaches $ 2 1lb of boiled peanuts $ 3 It’s a small store so make sure you slow down as you get closer. The entrance and exit is convenient to get on and off highway 81.
