My husband and I went to look at these homes on a Saturday and were received relatively well. The«model» home they showed us was an un-lived in apartment full of decorative pieces and extra curtains stacked all over the place haphazardly. It seemed OK so we thought about it. We went back the next Wednesday and saw Kia. She never introduced herself, didn’t want to take us to the model to measure for our furniture and so gave us the keys to go ourselves with only the map to guide us. Well, the keys didn’t work. So she begrudgingly walked to the model and unlocked it for us. Then she sent us on our own to look where the available apartments were located with nothing but a map… most apartments take you around on a golf cart! She never told us where the dumpster or mailbox was. So after walking around in the heat with no guidance we thanked her and left. We were concerned that Kia let us(strangers) in to the complex and let us all over the property without supervision and all we had to do to do that was give her our IDs. If I lived there I wouldn’t want non-residents walking all over the property without office staff or a current resident. That’s scary! When we stopped to eat lunch we went to pay our bill and realized that Kia never gave us our IDs back! So we went back to the complex and had to wait for her to come back from lunch to get our IDs. Luckily, a nice maintenance man showed up and got them from her office. They were supposed to be open from 10 – 6 and the recording on their phone didn’t mention an hour long lunch break! What if we lived there and a pipe burst during lunch… who would we call? So, we’re now going to rent from another community that rolled out the red carpet and treated us respectfully!
