I cannot say enough about this particular ULTA! Everyone is ALWAYS willing to help and suggest alternative products, when warranted. If they think something other than what you’re looking for may work better, they will make helpful suggestions. You NEVER feel pressured or rushed. I could get into serious trouble here… I think I LOVE EVERYTHING! The staff are ALL super friendly… and don’t be afraid to ask for samples, if they have some in stock, you’ll go home with some!!! 5 stars from me EVERY visit!!!

Just left this location and the customer service was absolutely horrible. I’ve shopped this location many times with no issues, but today was crazy. The monthly birthday gift is a shade of lip gloss that I do not wear, they refused to substitute the gift. They also refused to separate my transaction into separate transactions to maximize savings. Never a problem at any other location. Will not be back to this location EVER!!!

Love the selection of makeup here. Always great. But prices kinda are high. I love two faced collection. They have wonderful lip sticks and eye shadows! I got a facial here last year and it didn’t do anything for my skin. Go to pros for that. Over all… one of my favorite stores to shop.

Love the girls in their Salon. I always get what I asked for there. Great color and cuts. I’m very picky and I’m always happy when I leave.

Ulta is the best place for a cosmetics junkie — it blends lots of prestige brands with all the drugstore brands, and is often the only place to find the limited edition cosmetics you see in all the beauty blogs. Of course, they also have tons of hair stuff and beauty tools and skincare and fragrances, but I go for the makeup and nail polish. :)
All the Ultas are pretty great, but I especially like this one in McDonough because it’s still new enough (opened in Aug 2012) that it doesn’t have that «ransacked» feeling like the Howell Mill or Buckhead stores do sometimes. Get on the mailing list and become a member for great coupons and quarterly rewards, and pay attention to the sales cycles — everything non-​prestige goes on sale pretty regularly.
Check out the German brand Essence for low-​price high-​quality cosmetics — Ulta is the only place you’ll find them.
Sales staff at this store are non-​snotty (another problem with the Buckhead location) and helpful. If only they had baskets instead of those weird Kohls-​like shopping bags!
