Stauer House Bed & Breakfast

Stauer House is unique, fascinating, and friendly. The owners are helpful, outgoing, and helpful. Our only issue was the long wall to our bathroom. I am not complaining because we knew going in, we just didn’t realize how far away our private bathroom was, from the room. However, I would go back in a heartbeat if we could book one of the en suite rooms.
Breakfast was always good with fresh fruit and cereal offered daily. The food may not be as «gourmet» as some places but is tasty and nourishing. The room itself was comfortable but small. They offer 4 different rooms and we were in the smallest. I would recommend either the Captains Room or the Maids Quarters for the ensuite bathrooms. The Ramage suite looked gorgeous and has a lovely sitting room attached.
The owners have labored long and hard on the house and know a lot of the history. The atmosphere is warm and friendly including the dog and babies! Heartily recommend as a B&B experience that is interesting and comfortable.

Very friendly B&B. The breakfast was great as well. You will enjoy the history of the building and the city from the owner. Here’s a story of a great personal experience as well — I left my keys in my room. Most great stories don’t with that. Not only did the owner call us, she also drove them to the other side of town & found us walking on the street to give to them to me. Life saver!
