Great authentic Mexican food. I also enjoy the complimentary Caldo de Pollo(Chicken Soup) and the small free piece of Tres Leche cake. Ill go back again. Con-I don’t enjoy loud obnoxious entertainment. Usually they have a soft music back ground ambiance, This last time was a loud and bad guy signing to a karaōke machine. That is the only reason why I took away their last star. Will be back for Authentic Mexican Food.

This is our second time here, and I decided this is the most authentic Mexcian restaurant in the burbs. We love it, both times the service was great, and the food was incredible! Each time we went they gave us a free item off the menu while we waited to order(with chips and salsa of course) which I think more places need to do. It is a really great idea to get people to try things off the menu and also a very nice gesture. I think everyone needs to order their corn tortillas if they go. We didn’t know until we tried them, but they have a little old lady in back that makes them from scratch, fresh for each order. Unbelieveable! They were the best tortillas I have ever had. Everything else we ordered was great too. Le coctel de camaron, which is a mexican version of the shrimp cocktail. We ordered the Huachinago al Mojo de Ajo(Fried Whole Tilapia sauteed in garlic) with rice and beans, the Tequila Shrimp/Camarones al Tequila(was so good we dipped the tortilla in the leftover sauce!) and the Platillo al Pastor(seasoned grilled pork from the Trompo– a vertical rotisserie similar to gyros or shawarma) and it was one of the best we have ever had as well. And just so you know, nothing we ordered was«dry» like the other two reviews. I am not sure what happened to those people lol. I will say it is good for groups and kids, and if you go during the week it can be quiet. However, if you are looking for a quiet romantic getaway on the weekend, this is not it. We happened to go during karaōke on Saturday night, which was fine for us, but is was very loud. We didn’t mind, our mouths were too busy enjoying the amazing food in front of us to worry about talking!!!

The reason I gave it 3 stars was because a) they have an unbelievable avocado and jalapeño salsa that I now crave. I could pour it on everything. b) I loved their steak tacos. The steak was chopped very small and it was juicy and delicious. The bad… I don’t like their barbacoa taco’s which are usually my favorite tacos. I thought they were dry and I like my meat to be more shredded. Theirs had huge chunks. I did not like their beans and rice. Both were very dry. Their flan was only so-so. My dad makes an unbelievable flan and theirs definitely fell short. Also… I was subjected to, «She’s like the Wind» twice while eating dinner. I don’t know if someone played it twice on the jukebox or what… but after hearing that twice I then heard 2 songs from Grease. But with that being said the staff there was very nice.

We’ve been there many, many times. Had an absolutely terrific meal each and every time. This is the best, most authentic Mexican food I’ve had. It’s bargain prices too — we often get the taco dinner(choosing arrachera, pollo, and carnitas) — and drinks, and spend maybe $ 20 on dinner including soup(delicious!) and often a little bite of dessert. Oh yes, and chips and 3 salsas(ask for the Mexican style ones, not American if you like it hot). My husband loves the fajitas too — everything we’ve ever had has been lovely. If you’re not used to real Mexcian food, and expect the Americanized version, you may find it different. But if you want the real thing — this is the place to go. The service has always been very good, and the décor is amazing(whoever did the painting in there is a real talent).

Oh my gosh, two bad restaurants in two weeks. This was very bad food too. I’m not sure what our friend thought who had suggested the place but my husband and I disliked it very much. We both ordered chiles rellenos dinner. The chile was smothered with a tomato like relish instead of a seasoned red sauce. The retried beans were dried out like they were left on the stove to dry out. Kinda like when I try to make my own. Haha. I also ordered a side chicken sopes and the chicken was dried out too, kind of like an old rooster. We all had leftovers — what does that mean? So we took it home but I should have just left it on my plate. I could give the leftovers to my dog, but I don’t think my pet would like it either. Instead I left the leftovers at our friend’s house. No loss. They weren’t too friendly there either. We thought later that evening that we were lucky not too get sick. Sorry Tacqueria Toluca.
