The Mchenry Dentist

I don’t know why the others are giving this place a bad rep. I had my appointment today, and had to get three extractions. Dr. Kaczynski was great and understood how scared I was. (I take anti-​coagulants, but was in a good range to get my teeth worked on.) Even though I am difficult to numb up, he took his time and made sure that I didn’t feel a thing. The assistants are also really nice as well. I guess everyone has their days but, all I encountered were really nice people running a good business. Definitely going to continue to come to this office.

Would definitely recommend. The dentist was very laid back and cool and calmed my nerves. I knew I was going to need ALOT of work, but the receptionist was great in going over my insurance and helping come up with a plan of attack! They are busy as heck but I now understand why! They are great!

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. I scheduled an appointment here months ago. The staff was rude and combative. I was very specific that I was coming in for a cleaning. Just a cleaning. They had me sit in the waiting room for almost an hour before bringing me back where they did several X-​Rays. The woman who took my X-​Rays must have been on her first day because she was extremely rough and even made me bleed. Then the dentist finally comes over to say, yes, your teeth are in great shape so we’ll go ahead and schedule your cleaning. WHAT!!! NO! I am here now for my cleaning! So. More than 2 hours and hundreds of dollars billed to my insurance and not a thing is accomplished. Let me state again how this was several months ago and I decided not to write a poor review out of the goodness of my heart. Then, I call today to get copies of my X-​Rays so I can go elsewhere to get a cleaning and they tell me there is a fee. This was the tipping point. You’re going to charge me AGAIN for doing nothing. Seriously, this place is just out to waste your time and bill you and your insurance for as much as they can. There are plenty of other places in the area with much higher ratings. Do not waste your time and money here.

Stay Away! Went for my 1^st appt and was told i had $ 1000 of work that needed to be done, all the way from cavities to a tooth extraction because my tooth was so decayed & that he couldn’t just fill it because it was the last molar and was too far to reach. Needless to say I went elsewhere for a 2^nd opinion and that dentist found absolutely nothing wrong. No cavities and no decayed tooth. He said even if i had a decayed rear molar it would be a bit difficult but that he could reach if to fill it.
