In December, my wife and I finally broke down and went bed shopping. I hate bed shopping. The process feels even slimier than shopping for a car. The salesman usually has you lie down on a random-seeming bunch of beds with hidden prices. And if you indicate that you like one, they play«gotcha» with the price. After going to all the usual suspects, we found the McHenry Verlo. Am I ever glad we did! Simply from an organizational standpoint, Verlo’s lineup of beds is logical. They have six different levels of beds ranging from cheapest to nicest. I was able to choose a price level(the V7 series) that I was comfortable with and then was able to choose to have them make it firm, plush, or pillow top. Also, there is minimal risk of choosing the wrong level of padding. Since the store is in front of the factory where my bed was built, they can alter it if I change my mind. My wife and I worked with Ray, and he was very understanding, and genuine. Even delivery went smoothly, and the delivery men were incredibly polite. I highly recommend Verlo of McHenry and I feel great that my dollars were spent with a locally owned manufacturing franchise instead of one of the other corporate-owned retail stores.
