Stay far away! They do not stick with the contracts that they create. They have awful customer service. They are way to large to know what is going on. We had so many issues: garbage not picked up on time, then double charged claiming they did pick it up and had to return to get it a second time, NOTTRUE! The rep refused to answer any phone calls or deal with the issue. Now dealing with the billing issues they have no clue about the contract, the problems that came up, or how to fix them. Our business will not be using them again and I can tell you that on a personal level I will NEVER use Waste Management. Find someone local that is willing to talk to you and work with your needs.

Are there worse companies in America than Waste Management? I am sure there have to be but in my opinion I have not run into them yet. Maybe AT&T and comcast are close. But the thing is you don’t have to use them and can cancel. Waste Management knows you have garbage and in most cases you can’t even get another company to come into their service zone, and they know if you don’t remove your garbage the neighbors will complain and the city will fine you. That’s what makes their lack of service so appalling. This company has over charged me on every bill they have ever sent me. They never even sent me a first bill, acknowledges as much and then made me pay late fees and interest and charges. And they refuse to care. They said pay us or sit on your garbage. Its extortion, basically the same as the mob except the police won’t get involved. The only way to get justice is to go to court, which I am looking into but what a time sink just because a company is awful. They have missed many weekly pickups. And my children have told me the drivers have made threatening comments and gestures. Luckily I was not there to witness or corroborate that. Also they only answer the phone from what they say is 8 to 5 but in my experience was more like 8:05 to 4:50. NO Weekends. Great if you are home with the kids, much harder if you actually work a day job. I can say this much, I will be going to local meetings to try and get them removed, and if I ever were to move I would make sure Waste management was not the contracted hauler before I ever put another bid on a house. They are that much of a hassle to me, plain and simple.
