REI

I’ve been a long time REI member, and I love shopping at their 2 Pittsburgh stores. The sales staff are very knowledgeable about their products, and they are very helpful and welcoming. The prices always seem high to me, but the quality is always excellent, and they have an amazing return policy.
If you want bargains, the garage sale is a good bet.
To give one example of their products, REI sells a small backpack called the Flash 18 Pack which is perfect for small day trips. For only $ 35, it’s a great deal, and I’ve had mine for years and it’s rugged, useful and well designed.

REI is a class outfit, expensive but you can find what you want here! The staff is friendly and helpful! The also have great sale! Wish I had one in my home town.

This place never ceases to impress me. The Customer Service and the product knowledge of the employees there are top notch. I especially love their «garage sales»!

I’ve been a member of REI for about 20 years, so I definitely believe in them and the products they carry. In general most of the associates are knowledgeable about what they sell, or will get someone who might know better. My last trip in was for a bunch of climbing gear that I needed for work (I was doing some rigging for a commercial). They didn’t have everything I needed and an associate named Doug helped me out and what they didn;t have, he located at the other store and had them hold it for me. Good Stuff.
