Thank you everyone at Cadence for your help on helping me pick out my new Scott mountain bike! Everyone should buy from them and support your local bike shop!

This place is your go-to bike shop, especially if you’re near Mckinney. The staff employed at this fine establishment are A triple plus. They are accommodating, efficient, and glad to spend time discussing about what you want. Great prices, great selection, great service. Definitely your home town bike shop. Stop in… You will notice a difference.

Kyle helped me out pick a hybrid. Very good deal on accessories and also lifetime adjustments are free. If you’re in McKinney or nearby no reason to go anywhere else. Excellent service.

Hands down the best shop in town, closely followed by their new location in highland village. I highly recommend you visit whichever location is closest. Chris in McKinney or Damon at Highland Village will give you top-notch customer service. If you are anti-big box or feel intimidated by other large bike shops, this is the place for you!

My go to shop! I am an admitted bike junkie and having worked in the bike business before want nothing but fantastic customer service. The staff at Cadence delivers exceptional customer service every time. Their knowledge of anything bike related is extremely deep, they’ve never blinked even when we’ve brought in something strange and unusual. From the casual beginner to the high level racer, they can take care of you.

We have bought a few bikes with them and have had varying experiences. If they have it in stock in that store, then you are pretty good to go. If it is anything else, it may take a bit. When you are in the store, they have good customer service. The follow up and through is a bit lacking. I am torn between 3 and 4 stars because we have had a few different interactions with them and we have spent a lot of money there. The large challenge is that they are close to home and have a good selection with reasonable prices. I think the key is finding something that is in stock in that store to have the best experience.

I’ve always had fantastic and prompt service from everyone there. Very knowledgeable and chill staff who are always ready to answer any and all questions whether you are buying or not. My girlfriend got her bike there and she’s thrilled with it. The only issue she’s had was a chain link that was stuck so it was having trouble shifting. It was months after her purchase but they still got her bike right into the service area, fixed it up in just a few minutes and said no charge. To me, that’s great customer service. They get my business for sure. Thanks Cadence!

If you’re looking for a great bike shop, keep going, this is not the place. I recently purchased a vintage TREK Y-22 mountain bike, and I brought it in to be serviced /brought up to speed as it was missing a few things. The technician who took it in was nice enough, and when I explained that I wanted their top level service($ 179) but realized I would need to add some things, I requested they keep it as close to $ 200 as feasible. I was promised the bike back on Tuesday(This was a Friday) and when the following Thursday had rolled around, I called to see what the status was… I was told it would be the NEXT Tuesday, he had mis-spoke. I wanted to ride the bike over the weekend of the 4th of July, but that wasn’t going to happen. They claim they are backed up in service by about 2 weeks. So the following Tuesday, when I call, they hadn’t even started on it yet. They also wanted clarification on what I wanted to spend, and in the estimate I was given at intake, they hadn’t accounted for a new chain(it was missing one quite obviously) and one side of the front brake pulls. So now we’re well over two weeks in, and nothing had been done, and I’m being told it’s going to cost way more than I was quoted. I told them to just forget about it, I’d come pick up the bike and take it somewhere else. To top this off, I picked up the bike on Monday, I get a call from them the next day(yesterday) asking me to come pick up my bike as they have limited room in their shop. I had to laugh… total incompetence. And I got the same impression as one of the other reviewers below: If you’re a total bicycle guy, you get fast, attentive service. If you’re just a regular guy like me, who was clearly trying to get enthused about riding a bike at 52 years of age, you’re treated like«Eh we’ll get around to it when we feel like it.»

I had a chain repair — and once they got to me I was out in 5 minutes! These guys really know their stuff. They did the repair while I waited and it was quick. What really surprised me is that even though my bike is ancient, they didn’t try to up sell me to a new bike like every other bike repair shop in Dallas. Btw — they have really luscious bikes and gear there too. Bonus — the shop is in a refurbished building — it’s really fun to hang out there. Thanks

Have bought 2 bikes from this shop and have always enjoyed the experience. The employees have always been welcoming and tend to say hi even when they are busy. Prices for service and turnaround times are comparable to most other area shops and their techs are pretty experienced. They carry some different brands compared to some other shops and they are open to special ordering(both of my bikes…). I’ve really enjoyed seeing them grow their presence in the cycling community. They’ve started sponsoring local rides and teaching clinics(including some women’s outreach) over the past year. Being involved in the local cycling community and regularly frequenting other shops I usually find myself coming back here. Stick around towards closing and you might even get a cold beverage.

Best bike shop around! I love the fact that all the employees have race experience. It’s a great community of riders with tons of events and support especially from the owners. I ride mtn bike but if I wanted to jump in on a road ride I know when and where they’ll be meeting.

Was promised a price let the lady know i would need to come back once i had the cash. When i came back they had raised the price and would not honor what they sold a friend, I sent there, the bike for. I was told they called the other shop they price matched and set the prices so i couldn’t get the deal my friend got even there. Being told that you should do business with local bike shops is a myth that is spread to keep margins high. Please do your own research before buying a bike from them and know what you should pay.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great prices on equipment and a terrific service dept. everything you could ask for in a local bike shop without the big shop ego.

I strolled into this shop after having lunch with a friend on the square — it was my first time to downtown McKinney so I wanted to check out all the cute little stores. This is a full service bike and repair shop. I was blown away by the customer service that Cadence Cyclery offered. The owner, Chad showed me a few bikes and explained the differences to me. I was just browsing, so I was pleased with the amount of time they spent with me. I will definitely make the trek up to McKinney whenever I decide to purchase a new bike! They also do group rides on the weekend!
