Really liked this place and the tress are very pretty just wish the sidewalk lead through the wooded area. Only issue is wish the trail was longer other than that I really like it.

Beautifully taken care of! Love seeing them in the spring/summer. People are always pulling over to the side and taking colorful pictures.

Lots of dead and neglected crepes here. This is supposed to be the collection of the crêpe myrtles for the world. The idea got launched then they never followed thru with it. They are sucking at the collection. Many are dead. Lots of the sprinkler heads are blown out and laying around the park. Too many fire ant mounds to even talk about. The mowers chop up the signs telling what species was supposed to be planted there, and they leave it laying there. You got some dumb ass mowers running over very visible metal signs and chopping up the work. The trash cans are nasty and full all the time. The sidewalks are cracking up from the cheap bidding to get this in place before Tyler, Tx could claim the honor. It is just a shame! I am NOT proud of this crappy garden. There is some sort of clock or calendar on the North end, but nothing as to how it is supposed to work. This place just looks neglected! I say bulldoze the whole thing and make it a wheat field again. No Loss!

A nice little city park with a 1 mile walk about around growing plants and trees.

This is the World Collection Park of Crape Myrtles. It’s the only park of its kind. The National Arboretum in DC donated a crape myrtle that’s on display near the entrance. This park has a lot of potential. Because it opened in 06/11, the plants aren’t at their peak condition, yet. Look forward to coming back in the next couple years to see how it turns out. Still a great place to go for a walk and some fresh air.
