Dr. Joel D Elsten

Went to Dr Elsten for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. If you’ve never been to a Target to get your eyes checked you’re going to be skeptical. Don’t be. The facilities were really what you need them to be, no more, no less. I never felt disadvantaged by not having to sit next to 20 people and read magazines I would otherwise never pick up. Dr Elsten was knowledgeable, friendly, professional, concise and spoke in very easy to understand language that even I could grasp. I was in and out but not rushed. I was impressed with his knowledge but not confused or overwhelmed. I can’t recommend him highly enough.

I’ve seen Dr. Elsten a couple of times over the past few years and would recommend him highly.
During my latest appointment I had some issues identifying my vision coverage, the assistant was kind enough to call the various vision insurance companies until we found the one that knew who I was (of course it was the last!). Even though this delayed my appointment by 20 minutes I wasn’t forced to wait longer, and was never treated like I had inconvenienced anyone (great customer service!).
Dr. Elsten managed to complete my exam in a timely manner without me feeling rushed. All of my questions were answered thoroughly and I felt confident as I walked out with my new prescription. A super friendly doctor and having Target’s optical store next door was also very convenient.
