Went here twice in the last couple weeks, both times the staff were helpful for me. First time for a turtle creek mic cable, which they didn’t have in that store but they rang another store and had them hold the cable for me. The second time was to just browse ds games and was helped with my requests during that visit also. Thanks for the great experience!

I’ve been a loyal gamestop customer for years, no matter how bad the service I always find myself coming back. My experience as a customer varies from store to store but I’m used to really friendly happy fellow gamers who just love the business. I love the Frisco area, there was three stores I would alternate and 9⁄10 I got the help I needed. I also used the Little Elm store for while and had similar results. While every visit wasn’t perfect nothing ultimately ruined the experience for me. Now that I live in Mckinney and have a gamestop down the street, heading all the way into Frisco or Little Elm doesn’t make much sense. I should have the same pleasant experience at any gamestop because I know gamestop wants consistency with their customer service. I regret to inform you that I no longer wish to subject myself to the bullying of an employee working within this Mckinney store after SEVERAL transactions that lead to insult in someway. Having someone treat you like you’re dumb or less than human is one thing but nitpicking little things like how I write my signature feels like personal insult. Everytime I walk into this store this employee makes me feel very uncomfortable. He is not professional and not manager material. I have a hard time justifying driving out of my way to get good customer service when every gamestop should be held to the same standards. It takes A LOT for me to complain. I’m really easy going but when I hear my roommate receives the same treatment in a completely unrelated transaction from the same person every time he goes in as well, I started thinking I’m not the only one having this experience and it’s time to speak out. My roommate went into the store last night looking to buy Metal Gear Solid V. He had two games to trade but ending up keeping them after the employee started inspecting the disc in the light(this is of course totally acceptable) but my roommate in frustration said«come on man, I keep my games in good shape» the employee replied with a remark about how one of the discs had a scratch on the printed side of the disc(not the readable side.) What this employee didn’t realize was my roommate is a former Gamestop store manager. My roommate appalled by this employee’s attitude decided to keep this games and bought Metal Gear new without his trades. He also wishes to never return to this gamestop due to the equally bad experiences we’ve both had since moving to Mckinney earlier this year. After hearing this I’ve finally had it, maybe it sounds like a minor offence but your attitude is what leaves an impression on your customers. Everytime I go to this store I leave feeling like making a trip down the street isn’t worth dealing with people who clearly don’t want your service. I’m a customer, I want to buy games at your store, why do I need your attitude and rude remarks. Be professional at all times to every customer, even rude ones. I called the store this morning to obtain this employee’s name so I could leave a helpful review to warn fellow customers of this unnecessary treatment but after calling the store’s number(214) 504‑0974(as listed by google and gamestop’s site) with no answer EIGHT times between 10am-10:23am! This is the time they’re supposed to be open, I’ve finally given up and will be going in store today to find out this guys name. Update: finally got an answer at 11:04 the employee’s name is Paul Armentrout he’s a keyholder.
