Olive Garden Italian Restaurant

I’m not a fan of the food but the only reason I’d give this Olive Garden this review was because of the extremely dedicated, professional, caring and humble wait staff. We had a party of 15 and lots of kids. I was extremely impressed by how interactive and kind our waitress was to us and the kids. All of them kept the kids attentive by doing magic tricks and treated them like big kids. All of them were so well behaved thanks to the wait staff. I recommend this place if you want to celebrate a big event. I’d honestly go back because of the excellent service we received. Thank you!

Food was great and service was pathetic. The poor hostess had to wait on us because our guy was busy! The restaurant was empty. Simply lazy and bad service!

The food & service were excellent. Our waiter was Ricky. He went above & beyond in dealing with us. He took our order perfectly even though it was complicated. That is no small feat, folks. He attended to us without hovering and asked about singing for my daughter’s birthday. We declined the singing, but took the dessert.
The food was great. I had the «buy one, take one.» Baked Ziti. It was NOT too salty. I love their salad and we ate a bucket of it. (Two trips) They left the salt off my breadsticks per my request and they even burned them slightly. I like them that way. The portions are large at this store. Everyone needed a togo container. A ladymanager and asked how things were came by and I told her of the great job done for us.
Their McKinney Health Department Inspection Report listed zero (0) violations in Feb., 2016.
Excellent in my opinion.
They were really on their game this last Saturday.

If I could give half a star, I would. Though I don’t remember the waiter’s name, I know I would definitely recognize him.
I can honestly say that was THE WORST service I have ever received.
We went out (6 top) for my brother’s 20^th birthday, and we’re a relatively easy going group. I’m not very picky about much of anything either.
The waiter was making rookie mistakes
*Asking if we wanted a refill on water? Come on, man! If all the drinks at the table are empty before the meal even comes out, you refill.
*Handing *HOT* plates of food to guests instead of walking around to lay down the food on the table?
He even passed them out over the heads of children sitting right behind me. HOT FOOD!
My brother ordered a tiramisu for his birthday and my mom ordered a strawberry cheesecake. The candle came out in the cheesecake, but that’s not necessarily the waiter’s fault. He actually picked the candle out of the cheesecake and put it into the tiramisu and said, «I hope you’re not allergic to strawberry.»
ARE YOU SERIOUS!?? What if he was allergic?
That’s not even the worst part! I know, how could it get any worse?
When the waiter dropped off the check he handed it to my mom, not her boyfriend.
My mother then (jokingly) asked how he knew it was her paying. The waiter then looked over at my mother’s Hispanic boyfriend, shrugged, and said, «well, I just figured.»
This guy is either a racist or an idiot!!!
Definitely not going to be going there again, and I’m going to be sure to let my friends know to steer clear of this purely pathetic server.

Service was good. Salad and breadsticks were brought to our table quickly, We both ordered the Chicken Marsala Ravioli and it was not very good. For one thing, it had hardly any
chicken. Mostly noddles and sauce which was so rich we couldn’t eat it all. The mushrooms taste strange as well. I usually really like Olive Garden food, so I just won’t order that again.

Usually fairly good, but, couple a new server with a patron coughing her brains out and a line cook who was so heavy handed in seasoning my shrimp scampi fritta that it was inedible, our dining experience was not very good. The visit was Sunday lunch 12/​27/​2015

Service was excellent, but the food was subpar to any Olive Garden I’ve ever eaten at before. The booths were small, low backed & didn’t offer any privacy or intimacy for dining. I’d compare it to a loud college dining hall. We won’t be back.

We had a birthday lunch today for my Fiancé, and had a good time with fries and family. At the end of the lunch when we were getting ready to leave, the a lady in charge come and apologize for the slow service and even offered us free dessert. We honestly did not notice the delay in service because we were talking about the word of God. We are very grateful of the amazing service we always get here.

We were seated then waited 15 minutes, and not a single waiter said a word or offered us anything. That kind of service is inexcusable, and there is no way we will be back to this particular Olive Garden. We will make sure to tell all of our friends and family to stay away as well.

Had a great lunch today. The manager on shift checked on us to make sure everything was perfect. Thanks Sabrina Auldridge!

I met a friend here for dinner and I was impressed with everything. I do not normally eat at chain restaurants but my friend like this place. I have to say everything was better than my expectations. Our server was friendly and efficient. The menu had a wide variety of selections.
The soup was very good and my entrée was well prepared. I still do not love chain restaurants but this place is worth keeping on my «Go To» list. Also very nice to know they offered veterans a free meal on Veterans Day. Good job!

The service is alway great here. The food can be hit or miss sometimes hence the 3 stars. It’s just like every other Olive Garden, which for some people is ok, but it leads to just acceptable product. None of the food is made from scratch at the restaurant and you can tell. Overall the the experience was satisfactory, but nothing to really right home about. It’s what you’d expect any any other I the thousands of this chains restaurants.

Attentive service (Kyle was amazing!), great food!
We came in because of gift cards and ordered the 2 for $ 25 dinner special. My baked tilapia with shrimp was delightful and too big for me to finish after the salad and appetizer.
Kyle brought sodas before we were through with the first ones and made sure our dinner was not put through until the appetizer (stuffed mushrooms) was thoroughly enjoyed.
I usually only come for the soup & salad lunch special but this was a delightful surprise.
We will definitely come back.

Haven’t been to an Olive Garden in years and was pleasantly surprised. We had the 2 for $ 25 menu and it was delicious. Kyle was our server and he was great! The restaurant is super clean and well kept. They had a great server to customer ratio. Great service and great food. Can’t go wrong here. Will defiantly come back!

I have eaten at this Olive Garden several times over the years. The service and the meal were wonderful. The atmosphere is calm and perfect for nice quiet lunch with friends and family.

Staff is very polite, as well as service. We started out with spicy calamari then salad/​breadsticks showed up. I tried the stuffed chicken marsala. It was great, and there was so much I couldn’t finish.

My family loves this place. Mostly because the breadsticks are addicting. I had the tour of Italy which has a little bit of everything, fettucini Alfredo, lasagna, and chicken parmesan. It was wonderful.
Bottom line is the food, service, and cleanliness is on target.

Service here is consistantly bad. Prices keep rising. Food is not completly cooked. This place used to be so good too.

My previous review said «about as good…» This was about as bad with the exception of the food itself (thus the 2 instead of a 1). About everything a waitress could have done wrong was done. When we 1^st asked for drinks, she mentioned that she needed to get another coaster. The entire meal passed without that coaster ever coming. She brought our salad and sticks (2 of them for 4 people because they were getting more ready — we were there 15 minutes after open and there were not many diners yet, so I don’t understand how they were already out) along with my soup. My kids both got soup, salad and sticks. I mentioned that they had soup coming. She told me that she was going to bring it with the meals. I asked that she bring it 1^st because they would want refills. Multiple times past the table, and she finally got them their soup right before the entrees. I had ordered the AYCE pasta. Both my dish and my wife’s took forever to get to us. We were done with our soup and salad for a good 10 minutes before the entrees were served. Not sure if that is how they «control» the AYCE, but it felt like it. I finished my water while eating my soup and sticks, and we left with my water glass never having been refilled. I should not have to ask for a water refill. Refills on the pasta were extremely slow, and at one point another waitress had to assist our waitress because apparently 3 tables was too much. My wife had asked for more salad, so I asked the assisting waitress about it. «I’m sure he is getting it» she said. Apparently not, because a while later the assisting waitress came back with salad. Our original waitress had been past our table multiple times and seemed to avoid asking if we needed anything. The strange part was that despite the pitiful service we were all very nice to her figuring we could «kill her with kindness.» It didn’t work! The food was very good. the pasta was actually prepared properly Al dente which is not normally the case at OG. i will go back because it is close to us and I still have some gift card money, but wow… This was a real bummer of a meal.

I’m not going to write a long review for this because if you’ve been to one Olive Garden you’ve been to all of them! This particular one is clean and has a good staff. We are always happy with the service and have never had any issues at this location.
My favorite dish is the Braised Beef Tortellini w/​mushrooms. It’s hard to try something different because I like it so much.
