I cannot get over how rude the owner was to me when I called for an appointment for my mother. I was just wanting to inquire about her availability over the next week. I am certain she assumed that I was making a sales call and she then told me she wasn’t interested? How could she not be interested? I wasn’t selling anything? nor did I pitch her anything sales related at all? Yes I am a salesman but I am a local customer as well and I also buy locally and I make appointments too… Monica needs to quit being rude. You are in a hospitality business so learn to be hospitable and don’t hang up on people until you know what they are calling for ! No worries to me. She is the one that missed a sale and a possible new customer

BEWAREIFYOUHAVELONGHAIR! DON’T GOHEREIFYOUWANTTOKEEPYOURLONGHAIR! I had been going to Monika for a year since moving to Texas. Trusted her with my hair for over a year now. Am getting ready for a wedding and waited til the perfect time for cut and color. We talked about maybe going below my shoulders.(My hair WAS almost at my waist.) She cut 3″ off and I stated«Whew, glad we did that because I am not ready to go shorter». While sitting in the chair, I noticed not one piece of hair was falling forward. I was having a conversation with myself that I had never had hair not fall forward. NOW I KNOWWHY! When I was turned around, she had cut SEVENINCHES of my hair off! WHAT? When she held the mirror up in the chair, it was at an angle so I was looking up. All the way home I tried to convince myself that it was only the three inches… Not only that, it is the same length all the way around my head! A LAMPSHADECUT! It looks like crap. So, after many tears and calming down, I emailed Monkia… here is her response: .I am sooooo sorry. when I cut the back before colour I had pulled it back. N evened up the front or it would have been a sling. It is my fault not making that clear You mean it took you 4 more inches to «EVEN» up my hair? You THINK you should have discussed that with me? YATHINK? She offered the NEXT time that it would be on her! NEXTTIME? I will not need a hair cut for 4YEARS! SOBEWARE… IFYOUHAVELONGHAIR, LIKETOKEEPYOURLONGHAIR… DON’T GOHERE! SHE«THINKS» SHESHOULDHAVESAIDSOMETHING!

Ahhhmazing! I’ve been here 3 or four times really too few than if like and have gifted a certificate to my mother in-law who also loved it and today went with my hubby for his first massage. He’s very self conscious about his body hair but the experts at Spa Esoteric put him at ease. They always have specials going on. I just love them!

There IS a ‘right way’ to apply color– I never knew! I have probably had nearly a dozen different stylists in my 30-some years of «getting my hair done». In that time I’ve gone lighter, darker, had highlights– you name it. Now I just color gray & stay pretty close to my natural color. But in all those years, it always seemed I would find some grays that were missed, uneven color, etc. Monica didn’t just paint the color onto my hair, she worked it in– a ‘massage’ for the hair, it seemed to be. I just watched her with interest, not asking about her technique. She had mentioned her decades in the business, but I’ve had stylists with plenty of experience before. Something about her technique just seemed so right– and I’d never seen it before. Sure enough, the end result was fantastic. I’ve never been happier with my color(well, I went a tad too dark, but that was my fault, not hers). There is not a single missed spot & the color is so rich & shiny– I finally know what truly expertly applied color looks like. I had looked at their prices online before making my appointment, and was charged exactly as advertised– a very reasonable rate. I’ve not tried any of the spa services, but I certainly will. 5 stars for the cut & color alone– I have definitely found a new place fully deserving of my loyalty(and, obviously, my praise :)

I’m so happy I found Spa E! I’ve been there several times in the past couple of years for regular massages, then I got pregnant. My husband got me a gift certificate for a pre-natal massage and it was AWESOME. Monica is always friendly and great to talk with. My favorite spa!

I’d give them 5 stars but I’m more used to spas who have several people work on you so that the spa package doesn’t take up the ENTIRE day. There are too many antique stores and botiques near by to want to spend the whole day there:) even though Monika is very good company. And get someone to drop you off because the parking there can be a bit hard to find. Most of it is on the street. That, however, is my only complaint. DHB booked me for the Everything Roses package which was just lovely. I highly recommend it. We have been renovating our house and I was literally taking a beating. My nails and hands were ruined from ripping up carpet and tearing out stick on vinyl tile. My feet hadn’t seen the light of day in weeks because of all the calluses from the work boots. Skin problems from sun exposure and from having to mop the ceiling.(Do not ask me how the previous occupants of my house got soda, ketchup, and mustard spatters on the ceiling!) And don’t even get me started on the sore muscles from shoveling and swinging a sledge hammer. Wrap, facial, massage, mani-pedi. Very relaxing and well done. I came out like a new woman. The mani-pedi with the paffafin treatment did absolute wonders for my hands and feet. The body wrap and the massage were wonderful at getting some of the longer lasting knots out, too. Hoping he books me for it again…

Perfect, eclectic and soul soothing day spa in a redone 120 year old house. I felt instantly welcomed and comfortable when I walked in the door. Great massage. therapist had a good strong pressure and solid technique. Free stuff(sugar scrub and soy candle) for first time guests so its worth a try. I called on a Saturday for a much needed massage and was scheduled in in 4 hours later. Staff and owner are friendly and knowledgeable, and I’m looking to go back and try some of their facial and pedicure packages. They have a Spa Week package(2nd week of Oct?) where three of their most popular treatments are only $ 50. I’d say if you haven’t been yet, its worth a stop by!
