I agree with the review listed on 7−27−14. I must have encountered the owner today as yes she was very rude. My family and I immediately left and bought elsewhere. We are redoing our entire house however none of my money will be spent there.

McKinney, TX
The owner of this place (older lady) is very rude, which I’ve learned is a common occurrence. I don’t care who you are or how many different businesses you own throughout downtown McKinney, treating people (especially paying customers) with disrespect is unacceptable. I’ll definitely be taking my business elsewhere. Buyer beware!

Neat mix of old and new — some things look like they might be antiques but they could be new items made to look like old (like the old roosters that were so popular way back). They have lots of candles and lots of unusual things for the kitchen but what is really neat about Uptown is that they have a full art gallery upstairs. You can visit the art gallery and look down onto the sales floor, it’s very neat. The art was all original oil, some of it very good, ranging from small pieces from $ 50 to large pieces for $ 5,000.
