DC Sliders

$ 12 bucks for 2 sliders and fries…
Park is a 4 star restaurant across the street that will do 3 sliders for $ 5…
I picked up 2 cokes which brought my lunch to a grand total of $ 14… Fries were soggy. at 2 small sliders and was still hungry after spending close to $ 15 dollars

I’ve waffled between 3 and 4 stars, but decided on 4 because I was pleasantly surprised in the end.
My big issue with food trucks is the amount (or lack thereof) of food you get for the money. I don’t mind paying $ 8 – 12 for a lunch, but I don’t want to be hungry 2 hours later and get «Meh» food in the process.
This truck was a little pricier than most of the others I’ve tried, so I was tempted to pass. I ended up caving to my laziness, though, and got two sliders with fries. Both sliders were tasty (mac&cheese) and the patties were cooked well, which is tough to pull off with sliders. As others have pointed out, the sliders are also a bit bigger than is typical so they are closer to Jr. burgers than sliders. The fries were quite good, and the quantity was good as well.
I think I paid $ 11 for the combo, but I wasn’t hungry again until dinner. This truck will definitely get my attention the next time they are around.

Meh, I expected better for the price. In rating range of 2.5 but deducted .5 star for questionable food handling.
Say Cheese & Bacon — burger was rather dry (like it was pre-​made/​cooked and then reheated) and lacked discernible seasoning. One anemic piece of bacon which also lacked flavor.
Buffalo Blue — Chicken had a nice flavor, but was also a bit dry. Blue cheese lacked any flavor and was oddly rubbery.
Garlic fries, nicely seasoned and would have been highlight of the meal but about 2/​3s of the fries lacked crispness and were rather flaccid.
Sliders buns were nice quality but bottom of the bun was rather stale and crunchy, as if they had been held in a warming tray for too long.
Cashier was wearing gloves but was handling money/​checks and then turning around to assemble food/​build burgers without changing gloves or washing hands. I did see him once wipe his hands on a dirty towel on the counter in front of the «register» (still in same gloves).

Delicious burgers. Pricey, but tasty.
Their plain burger is very solid.
The Oktoberfest burger is amazing.
Fries are okay.
Chill was good.
Very friendly staff.
