There have been only two great hair stylists in my life, Jean Paul and a guy in Paris that was a block from my hotel back in 2006. Since I’m not traveling to Paris anytime, I have to say Jean Paul is the best hair stylist and does an amazing blow. I use his l’oreal professional Viyamino Color masque (pink jar) to keep my hair healthy. People tell me I have amazing hair. That is my secret along with the drugstore Miracle spray stuff after towel drying my hair that comes in a purple bottle they sell at CVS. Back to Jean Paul… The best part about Jean Paul is he’s not expensive! I am able to go to him more often

Tried to call and set up an appointment. Phone rang twice and then to voice mail. I assume he uses a cellphone for his business. I left a voice mail but no response. Great way to do business, first impressions not so good. Won’t even attempt to go here and get a cut.

HORRIBLE !! This salon is absolute garbage, awful service, overpriced for poor quality services. I went for the first time, based off of the help reviews which are obviously fake, got a color and the stylist left my color on too long, causing my scalp to burn. I went back spent after, letting them know of my concern hoping they would offer some reimbursement. They absolutely refused, made excuses and completely belittled me. I’ve never been more disrespected, no idea how this establishment is still in business.

Finding the right hair stylist is usually hard to come by. Based on the great reviews on here I discovered Jean Paul. I HIGHLY recommend you go here!
The last salon I went to, the stylist was obviously in a hurry to leave work and gave me a horrible experience. Here at Jean Paul, he takes his time and is willing to hear what you’re ideally looking for in a haircut and he gets to know you. It’s all about great customer service!

The best of the best. Jean Paul corrected the color problems with my hair, and gave me a sylish hair cut as well. His salon is comfortable. He is the owner, and only takes care of one client at a time — so you don’t have to worry about him «hurrying» you through the appointment. I never felt rushed. He is truly a pro.
I went to see him based on his Unilocal reviews, and let me assure you that it is all true.
I hope that I can always get an appt to see him — he now has a customer for life!

I moved here from Dallas Tx and tried every hair dresser in DC that I could find. I ended up flying back to Dallas to get my hair done. Then my husband found Jean Paul. He asked me to just give it a try… and I have been with him ever since. People constantly ask where I get my hair done. He is by far worth more then he charges to do my hair! I love the enviornment as well. Quiet yet fun. I would never switch!

I have been a client of Jean Paul’s for the better part of 15 years, and have referred many others his way. Jean Paul is flexible to the needs of his customers — if you have specific ideas, he is happy to style your hair accordingly. However, he also has terrific ideas for what will work best for your lifestyle, needs and face shape.
One true testament: I have never seen anyone leave his chair with bad color, cut or style, ever!

I had the pleasure of having my hair cut (men’s) and styled by Jean-​Paul himself. He was patient and made it a point to understand what I wanted my hair to look like.
The best part is that Jean-​Paul cut and combed through my hair quickly with precision and caution like he’s seen a million heads in his lifetime. He knows what he’s doing. When complimented he let me know that he’s been cutting hair for 30 years… so it all makes sense!
His mens hair cut pricing was sensible, especially for the over-​priced area we live in.

I got my hair cut and highlights done by Johara. She was very friendly and took the time to understand what I wanted from my highlights and planned on dealing with the new highlights along with the existing highlights. Great fashionable cut as well. I will return. Parking is free and easy right in front. Sure beats heading down to DC.
