Salon Sage McLean

I moved down to Northern Virginia in January and was looking for a place to a hair cut. I’ve been avoiding it for months. My friend said she knew a stylist at Salon Sage named Johnny. He cut my hair and it looks amazing. I don’t usually have much of an opinion about what I want, and gave him full control. He did such a good job, and really took his time. My favorite part was that he explained how and why to blowdry my hair a certain way. Who knew I’d been blowdrying my hair all wrong my entire life. Will definitely be going back to see Johnny in a few months for my next cut!

I called as soon as the salon opened looking to correct a disaster (hair done at another salon late Saturday) before I had to go to work Monday… The wonderful ladies at Salon Sage fit me right in and I walked out looking like a million bucks! Thank you sooooo very much! Ask for Bekkah, she’s amazing! I’ve never been complimented so much on my hair!

First time at Salon Sage and Johnny was great – I came in on the with a very disappointing/​bad cut I got at another salon the previous week and he made my hair look fantastic!

One of the very best salon experiences I have ever had and at a fraction of the cost of larger more swanky salons in the McLean area. Small and intimate is the best way to describe this wonderful group of professionals. From the beautiful owner to the incredibly caring staff which made the experience wonderful. I had the pleasure of having my hair done by one of their new stylists, Johnny Ahern. Who actually listen to what I wanted, noticed some of the difficulties with my growth patterns and designed a haircut to make me look the best I have in years… I’m not an ugly guy either. LOL The other stylists I would’ve gone to in a minute as well. They were professional, looked wonderful and the smiles on their clients faces said it all.

Salon Sage is awesome. I go to Ashley for cut and color and am always satisfied. I get lots of compliments on my hair.

Long time customer of Ashley’s and I followed her to her own studio, Salon Sage. Same great service as she builds her own business. The salon is more like a warm family gathering than just another hair appointment. Service is always prompt and haircuts always good.

I’ve had my hair cut at Salon Sage three times now, and had wonderful experiences with each cut. The salon is clean and organized and not overwhelming. Tiffany has been my stylist all three times and I cannot say enough great things about her. I receive compliments all the time after visiting her. She has done both long and short styles with my hair and both have looked great. I would definitely recommend Salon Sage to anyone in the area (I actually drive 30 miles to get there because a good stylist is hard to find!).

I happened upon salon sage just by googling local salons. I had actually tried to get in with another stylist, but I couldn’t get in with her for another 3 weeks and I couldn’t wait that long. Luckily, Becca was available. She sat and let me vent about all my fine, thin haired problems, which, lucky for me, she could relate to. Her suggestions were incredibly helpful. She picked a hair color that perfectly complimented my skin tone and added highlights to give my hair a fresh, summer look. Because I have fine hair, I have always gone with a one length, but Becca was able to give me a fun, updated look with out making my hair look even thinner. Basically, she worked a miracle on my hair in two hours. The price was absolutely reasonable and comparable to other high end salons in the area. Don’t expect Sport Clips prices.

Today was my first time at Salon Sage and the atmosphere and customer service was outstanding and the facility was very clean and nicely decorated. My favorite stylist for the past few years Lizzie recently moved to this salon and I quickly followed. She is amazing and listens to what I want with my hair style and helps me achieve the results I desired.
Lizzie is also great with kids. My daughter Is very shy but has been coming to Lizzie for haircuts and bang trims for a little
Over a year and she loves it.

When walking in I was greeted with beautiful smiles. This place is definitely a well designed salon, the atmosphere is very calming and neoteric. The earth tone colors used are a perfect blend with the mix of steel used on the countertops. Talk about clean! no mess of hair dryers and things everywhere. There was a nice clean countertop in front of the mirror where I sat, perfect to put my phone and keys on. Smells very pleasant in there as well, I usually get irritated by the smell of chemicals in a salon.
Bekah was my stylist, I highly recommend her. I have never received so many compliments on my hair. It was definitely a good hair day. I sent a few of my family and friends her information to schedule an appointment. I Had the best conversation while sitting in the chair getting my cut. Everyone really makes you feel right at home. Excellent customer service is very difficult to find and the level of service here is transcendent.
The price is very reasonable, You cannot put a price on a great haircut. If you’re looking for a good salon this is it. I’m extremely particular about my hair so I’ve found this diamond in the rough of salons.

My first time at Sage and it was amazing! Service was awesome, all the staff was super friendly and personable. Dyed my hair with Tiffany for the first time and it turned out better than I could’ve imagined! Never trying another salon again! I’ve definitely found my spot.

I’ve been going to Ashely since I moved from Hawaii to Virginia. Having had the best hair colorist/​stylist in Hawaii that I’ve been going to forever it was stressful trying to find the right person here.
Not knowing anyone and being new to the city it was difficult especially when some people may be a bit gun shy to offer a referral or assistance. During my frantic search I even included my husband to ask around for a referral. Luckily, my husband asked his co-​worker who was very gracious and generous in welcoming me to the city and provided a list of service referrals to include her best friend who happens to be a hair colorist stylist

Ashley Love has been my hair goddess ever since.
On my initial visit she was very gracious, patient, and professional. She has a great personality and is easy to talk to. She interviewed me on the color and cut I was looking for. I brought along the mixture that my hair colorist used in Hawaii and although they didn’t use the same product line Ashley did her tricks and came up with a wonderful color. Ashley always thinks on her feet she examines my hair and offers suggestions on what to do. She skillfully texturizes my bangs and layers my hair perfectly. She is a hair architect and knows exactly how to set up a great foundation and build up and enhance your hair and works to keep it healthy too.
I highly recommend Salon Sage!

As a female, if we find a stylist we love, we stay with them, especially if we have stupid, annoying hair.
I found that at Salon Sage they are able to beat my stubborn locks into submission. I loved my previous stylist/​salon, but the quality that comes out of Salon Sage is better. The staff is so professional, friendly, TALENTED, and willing to try new things that I have made the switch to Salon Sage for good!
