Banner’s Restaurant

We stopped by here for breakfast on the way. Staff was very nice to us and service was great. Food was fresh and very tasty, potions were perfect too. I would highly recommend this restaurant, my only concern was that we had to wait longer than anticipated for food. However, overall, it’s good fresh food and very attentive staff.

We decided to give Banners in McMinnville a try today. I wasn’t expecting it to be in a strip mall next door to the liquor store. The atmosphere needs sprucing up… Add more plants and something decorative in the Windows, however the service and food was excellent! Another improvement would be to change the music… it felt like we were in an elevator listening to Muzak. All in all I enjoyed our meal! I ordered the chicken fried steak which came with eggs, pancakes and potatoes… way more food than I could eat! The pancakes were very fluffy and tasty! My husband ordered the shrimp and chips and they were excellent! It says that they don’t have wifi, but they do and if it was busy, the noise level would be high.

So, the food is pretty good. Not phenomenal, but good. I’ve been here several times, and the only thing I can complain on is the follow up. It takes a bit for them to come back and check on you. Other than that, great place.

Very good breakfast. BF said burgers to go are good. Nice people. To much personal socialization. Staff hold conversations and have other staff members join the conversation. When food is on the table the staff should excuse themselves. Service is not how it used to be.

Great breakfast burrito to start an important day. Wish that the breakfast potatoes were peeled or a different variety of potato which had a more edible skin.

We went in for breakfast, first time visit. Right away I noticed that the atmosphere was that of a truck stop diner trying too hard not to be a truck stop diner. The omelet was decent, and my wife enjoyed the pancakes, but the hashbrowns looked and tasted like pre-​packaged frozen potatoes — mushy and flavorless. The only part of the meal that actually impressed me was the country gravy. In other words, the food confirmed the truck stop diner feel of the place. I probably won’t be eating here again.

My husband, myself and our 3 kids came here for breakfast this last sunday at 1130 am. Staff was very friendly. Price point was fairly cheap, however, the food was less than fair. Chicken fried steak was a very thin piece of salty meat. Pancakes were rubbery. Toast was super hard. Bacon was good though. We RARELY go out to eat, so i was hoping for a tasty meal. No such luck. Will not be returning as i truly feel i make better food at home. Sorry.

Three of us went for lunch yesterday, New Years Day 2016. We were greeted as we walked in the door, brief delay in getting seated. Our waiter stopped by the table briefly, acknowledged we were seated and said he would be back shortly to take our order. Our order was taken and beverages served in a timely manner. Then, we waited … and, waited … and, waited some more for our meal to be served. At one point we asked how much longer we would be waiting and we were told the kitchen staff was slammed, he could not tell us. One person at my table needs to eat at certain times and this delay was beyond his required meal time. The waiter did bring a green salad to help until the meal arrived. The customers seated next to us walked in directly ahead of us. Their meals were served. Their meals were consumed. Their bill arrived. They were paying their bill as our meals arrived. My guess is it took about forty five minutes for our meals to arrive. I asked for water refill with my meal and did not get it until I was just about finished. The food was good. The service, not so much. However, at one point we were told they staffed according to the amount of business New Years Day last year.

Breakfast, lunch or dinner all are very good. Great service. It’s got to be the cleanest restaurant in town. The ambience is wonderful and has the consistency of a chain restaurant. Tablecloths are a bit much for a strip mall. I need to try the rest of the menu I’m kind of stuck on salads and omelettes. **Full disclosure* I know the owner.

Great food, great service! Our new place for breakfast in McMinnville. The quality of food, service and atmosphere is far superior to Shari’s. The staff is professional and well trained. Keep up the great work.

Great food and attentive service. We ate here with family, although I’d never have stopped on my own accord. So glad we ended up here, though. The place isn’t much to look at from the outside, as its in a weird strip mall. However inside is clean, although a bit sparsely decorated. The menu was very diverse and meals nicely priced. Also, the house wine was cheap ANF good quality. I will visit again next the family visit.

I didn’t expect food this good from a restaurant in a strip mall so close to home. The décor is out-​dated but the service is quick and pleasant and the food is delicious. I have ordered the Chicken Piccata and the Chicken Mona Lisa and they have both been tasty. Good size portions, too and the price is low. I will come back again.

Surprisingly decent. We were passing through and kids wanted spaghetti and reviews were mostly positive so we stopped. It’s a generic bland strip mall and the décor is lacking personality, a little too open. Our server was accommodating and went to ask about ingredients in a dish even when we had already said we’d try it, brought refills quickly, etc. the food was tasty and generously portioned. There was unlimited bread and we all enjoyed it. There was a fairly large table in there and I could see everyone had different kinds of meals: pasta, burgers, chicken… So good for groups/​families.

This place is so good ! The owner of this place is so sweet does what he can to get your food! This place is packed on special occasions! I love it! BETTER THAN SHARIS !

I’ve had breakfast here before and it was good. Tonight I had dinner there for my daughter in laws birthday. They have good standard American diner dishes. I was surprised by their excellent pasta dishes. The family run place has the friendliest staff. They joke and banter and took good care of us.

Awesome service and food! I skip Sharis and go staight over to Banner’s! The employees are very friendly, and so are the owners. The restaurant itself is very roomy, and I’ve tried breakfast lunch and dinner which amazes me every time. The proportions are perfectly sized for even the biggest of stomachs. Prices are right where they should be and I highly recommend this place!

This place has an odd feel inside. It’s very open, so you don’t have privacy while eating.
The food ranges from breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It services american and Italian food. I love their breakfast and dinner is fantastic. I love Italian and every dish I’v eaten I was thrilled about. Don’t forget to order a glass of local wine while your there.
Staff is friendly and it’s always busy inside. Order to to if you want. We order breakfast to go about once a month.

Had breakfast here today, first time in. Chicken fried steak and stuffed hash browns… it was brought out on 2 plates the portions are so big. Delicious. Obviously took some home, and am kinda surprised the price was as low as it was for being that good and large portions. The owner was our waiter, and couldn’t have been more welcoming. I will most definitely return.

My fiancé and I had dinner here a week ago. I had the chicken marsala with alfredo pasta and he had the lemon herb chicken with alfredo pasta. Both of our dinner was great! The fried calamari was the best. We will be coming back for more. The place was quiet and peaceful. Friendly staffs constantly checking on us to see if we were ok. Great customer service. A place I do recommend to try.
