I stopped in the shop with a group of 3 other cyclists. We were visiting from the Bay Area for a biking vacation. Patrick gave us great suggestions for rides and then right before our eyes somone rode off with my bike from in front of the bike store. Patrick mobilized the McMinnville community on Facebook and loaned me a bike to ride for the day. Amazingly the bike was recovered and Patrick checked it out and changed the flat tire. He is very committed to biking and great customer service. We have stopped in there every day for route suggestions.

A great full-​service bike shop located in the heart of McMinnville. Nice selection of bikes and really helpful employees. It’s worth checking out if you need maintenance on your current bike or you’re looking for a new one.

Stopped in for some cables and tubes, plus some brake pads that I thought would have to be ordered. Turned out that they had everything in stock, and had me all set to go in no time. Very friendly staff. Probably cost a bit more than I likely would have paid in Portland… but maybe not.

I’ve been a fan of Tommy’s ever since I was just checking out McMinnville, and an employee spent 20 minutes showing me the best places to ride. What was dangerous (West Side Road has no shoulder and fast hay and log trucks), what was good, where to go. When the phone rang, I asked, «aren’t you going to answer that?» The employee shrugged and said, «I’m with a customer.»
I thought that was good service.
I buy a lot of frankly weird bike items (two-​speed fixed gear cogs), and Tommy’s is always happy to order them for me. The price is the same (sometimes lower) than ordering online, and I don’t have to pay shipping.

I’ve had mixed results over the years but I’ve found that if you know what you want and are willing to pay for the service they offer you’ll be fine. Patrick and the others are damn good mechanics. They even tuned my brakes for free last time.

Although Tommy isn’t around anymore, the boys here are just as great :)
I bought my Trek Calypso here a few months ago, its been love since first ride ;) They also helped me tighten my brakes and readjust my seat. Everything comes with a year warranty.
Located right on 3rd street in downtown McMinnville, stop in and say hi and talk bikes, they’d love it.
