They were just about to close as we walked in with our 2 year old who is obsessed with comics and the young gentlemen working didn’t rush us or make us feel like we had to leave and we really appreciated that. After naming all his favorites, doing a few Hulk impressions and getting his first Hulk action figure, we happily happily left. Great place!

Because of the reviews I read on Unilocal,we decided to take our 16 – year-old son to Pittsburgh Comics for Free Comic Book Day. We are closer to a different store, but the strength of the reviews drew us. When we arrived we did find a convenient place to park, with sufficient room to help Noah in and out of his wheelchair. We also noticed there was a closer accessible spot, but we were already heading to the store when we noticed it. We saw there was s ramp from the parking lot BUT a grill for hot dogs was blocking the ramp. My wife walked Noah to the other side of the store front, where there was another ramp, but tables blocked his wheelchair from entering that way also. We finally needed to lift his wheelchair up onto the porch, which Noah doesn’t like due to balance issues he receives therapy for. We only remained at the store for about 10 minutes because of the difficulty to explore inside and outside. One individual with the store was very apologetic but there was little he could do. It was obvious no thought was given to accommodating customers in wheelchairs. But Noah did get most of the Free Comics, except for The Doctor Who we wanted most, and we spent about $ 22 as well. So selection wise, it was excellent, but I have to reduce the rating down to three stars. Noah and I had a hot dog, and it was fine. But even in the Universe of Comics it’s difficult to believe someone would block a wheelchair ramp with a grill. Well, maybe The Daleks.

Love this place! I’ve been collecting comics since i was a kid and I’ve been a patron of many stores from Connecticut to Boston, New Orleans and Pittsburgh and I must say Colin and his store are my favorite so far. Obviously, all the latest books in stock as well as plenty of graphic novels, back issues and other comic and sci fi novelties and collectibles. I’m sure if they don’t have it they can find it for you. There are usually events such as discounted back issues or double points for graphic novels. Sometimes he breaks out the barbecue and serves up some hot dogs and burgers for free comic book day or his store anniversary. They also have a loyalty program card that amasses points for future discounts. All in all, a friendly store that caters to all types from kids just getting into the hobby to hard core enthusiasts. . there is no elitism at this store, just a focal point to talk, read and buy some comic books no matter what your background!

This is a fantastic comic book store. It is clean, organized, and has just about everything anyone would want. Carries just about every trade in print, and has all the months comic magazines as well. Great place for comic art books, how-to books, and books specializing in a certain artist or writer. Many statues also. Really a great place!
