This was supposed to be an awesome fun weekend with the family. I called in advance to make a reservation for the snow tubing. The website recommended it. The first time I called I was kept on «hold» for 23 minutes before I hung up and called back. Their idea of putting someone on hold is setting the phone on the counter and forgetting about you. Well, I called back and made a reservation for 5. Gave my name, credit card and chose a time. Everything was supposed to be good, right? We drove up from the tri cities the day before, stayed in a nice hotel overnight, and then proceeded to Bear creek lodge to have an awesome day of snow tubing. I was excited, the kids were totally excited. I checked in at the front desk(which is also the bar on the second floor), and they had no record of my reservation. And of course, all sessions were booked full for the rest of the day. The nonchalant attitude of the girl at the counter didn’t help. I was furious. The kids were so disappointed. Beware that their reservation system is iffy at best and if you do go here, call ahead and make sure they actually have your reservation. Also, in case you want to get a room here, we wandered upstairs while trying to find the check in desk. It smelled like old pee. The rooms appeared small and the carpet looked really old and dirty. I’d suggest going somewhere else for your winter adventures. I know I will.

Had our wedding there. While our wedding was fantastic… the owners are horrible. I am not one to leave«bad reviews»…ever…because I believe everyone gets a «bye»…but after reading other reviews from many other dissatisfied customers, I feel I must concur…: Sam and Karen may, in fact, be nice people(Karen more so than Sam… sayin’…) but they are completely ignorant to the idea of caring about the customer. We were quoted less than $ 5000 for our wedding event(rooms and food included) but two weeks from the date were served an invoice for over $ 8500!!! They are shrews because they know that there is little to be done that close to the date… after all, what will we do? Book another venue for 80 people??? Alas. We were married there. And it was amazing… BUT! Lo and BEHOLD! Sam was caught(on camera and by our DJ…) guzzling our champagne(from the bottles… that WEPROVIDED…) He’s an ass. A pretentious, uneducated, sexist and homophobic pig… Sorry Karen. You deserve better.

Awesome location with terrible customer service. I am a long-term Mount Spokane user. The current owner has a terrible reputation with the locals. I tried to give them a «third chance» due to my families love of tubing. They have a great hill. We called a day ahead and were told the power was out by their machine, but to leave a message with a desired tubing reservation time and they would return our call promptly. We did so. After multiple unanswered calls the next day we decided to roll the dice and go. Thank God we decided to bring our snowshoes as insurance. After driving 30 beautiful minutes to the Lodge it was clearly operational and busy. We went in, and checked for our reservation. One of the owners told us that there had been too many calls and she decided not to call people back because she was too busy. She also told us they were full for the day, but wanted to know if we wanted to make a reservation for tomorrow. We told them we definitely would never be returning and bid them a nice day. I(and many of my friends) have had run-ins with the owner during the summer while mountain biking. He lies about his property lines, is overly aggressive, and uninterested in building a positive mountain community. Honestly, I can’t believe he’s still in business.

Went tubing with a big group over winter break. Although I think it’s a bit on the high side for cost, it is a hilariously good time! Worth every penny because our whole family always has so much fun! It’s a bit odd & confusing that you register and pay for tubing in the bar upstairs, but that doesn’t really matter once you get going on the experience. The service both during registration and especially on the tubing hill was outstanding! Those boys on the tubing hill take really good care of their customers. :-) I would highly recommend, and will definitely go again!

Had a great time tubing. Hill was groomed well so it was safe for our 8, 5 and 2 year olds. Great time for $ 10 a ticket($ 5 for under 3). Call ahead for reservations for tubing. Bar in the lodge looked like a great place for a beer but we didnt stop.

Do not book your wedding here unless you want it ruined. They wouldn’t let our family book a room because they didnt want any«drunk cowboys there.» This is no way to run a business or to treat people. They were very very rude and extremely unprofessional.

I just returned from Bear Creek Lodge where we spent 3 days for a family reunion. At first when I heard we were holding it in Spokane I was not thrilled. My attitude soon changed when we arrived at the lodge. It is so quaint and charming. The rooms are so clean and roomy. We had a fireplace(though we did not need it this time of year), and a jacuzzi which I did need after hiking all day. The owners Sam and Karen are so nice and accommodating. We had some dietary requests such as Vegan and Low carb. Karen came up with some really awesome meals. I was very impressed. If you order off the main menu they have some really spectacular looking burgers too! They made our family reunion a memorable one for sure. Some of us camped in the camp grounds and fell asleep each night to the sound of the stream below. Can’t wait to visit in the winter!
