Good food, great service. These folks know how to treat a customer. Love stopping at this little place for an easy lunch and friendly hello.

We were hoping for breakfast but now they only serve breakfast Friday– Sunday, But we decided to have coffee which was good and try their homemade desserts. The pecan pie was so good. The marble chocolate bundt cake was very moist and neither dessert was too sweet. The waitress was very sweet.

Overall food was good, country cooking in the mountains. Fried chicken was a bit over done, but not dried out. Was a really busy day, peak week for the trees changing colors, so the restaurant was packed. Mashed taters were excellent, home made. Biscuits were amazing! One of the softest biscuits I’ve had in a LONG time. Melt in your mouth soft! Service was a bit slow, no refills on tea, but again, would probably be better on a normal day.

I frequently eat at Jane’s when I’m in Meadows of Dan. Nice open seating. Walk in from either side and seat yourself. Sort of down-home and country menu. Breakfast is my favorite. If you’re there for lunch or dinner, leave room for pie.

Nice people and good food. Visited on a Saturday morning. Seating is on your own so just go in and sit where you want. They do have a specials board so check that out because it is a bit less than ordering off the menu. Southerners take note that they have good sweet tea — even for breakfast if you want. My eggs came out cooked to perfection as did the bacon. They have the shredded style hash browns which were good as well. My wife had the special which included biscuit and gravy. The gravy was awesome. My daughter had the country ham and it was a very large slice of ham. Nice and salty. Yum. Overall a great place to eat in Meadows of Dan.

Wow– what a bargain! So close to the parkway and decent food. While it has the typical café items, they also run specials with something not found on the menu. The prices look to be from the early 90’s. It looks like they run a breakfast buffet on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
