I have played at Quaker Creek many times over the years and have always found it to be a well maintained and challenging course until recently. Last week I had the unfortunate luck to step in a hole next to one of the greens and slam into the ground tearing the tendons in my knee, twisting my ankle and bruising my hip. The others in my group who saw me fall had to search for the hole because the grass growing out of it was mowed to the same level as the rest of the grass. When they stuck a club in the hole it was approximately 12 inches deep. Needless to say I had to sit out the last 8 holes. When we got back to the club house I spoke with the attendant and all he said was«sorry about that» while continuing to read his newspaper. He put the paper down when I showed him where the hole was using a fairway diagram on the back of the scorecard. Unfortunately, this has become an all too frequent occurrence around greens where golfers walk and I would recommend that players to be careful, especially around the greens at Quaker Creek.

Played there today for the first time what a diamond in the rough! Great value will definitely play there again.

Not a difficult course but well kept course and well worth the money
