The Baked Bead

We were having a party for some friends and wanted to do something different for dessert. I saw a «Living Social» coupon for The Baked Bead and we decided to give it a try.
We stopped by the bakery on our way home from Winston Salem and met the delightful mom of the baker herself. One thing I really like is there’s not a TON of frosting on the cupcakes, but more of a reasonable amount, just like Mama used to make. Everything looked wonderful so we placed an order for 3 dozen mini cupcakes and they Delivered them!
They were an absolute hit at the party & one guest, who normally is very careful about what she eats, had six mini cupcakes! Everyone loved them and wanted to know where we got them and all the details.
The frosting on the carrot cakes is cream cheese and was divine! The lemon was everyone’s favorite and the snicker doodle with chocolate fudge icing was to die for!
I’d give them 10 stars if I could!

I just ordered the apple cinnamon and sweet potato cupcakes they were delicious!
I will be ordering again!

I ordered one of the red velvet cakes and it was fantastic. Texture was perfect and the cream cheese frosting was just right. Can’t wait to try some of the others!
