Fuck this place honestly. As soon as my dining partner and I entered the establishment, we were met with a wave of brutally contrived ambiance. Shortly after, a viciously unsatisfied customer barreled past us while verbally assaulting, «EXCUSEME,» as they flew through the door — unable to bear another second in the vicinity. This was a bad sign, but my partner and I –with bruised morale –trudged on through the rigamarole. It was a Tuesday night, similar to every Tuesday night in central Pennsylvania. Chalit’s was approximately at 50% capacity. We were quickly dismissed by the hostess –surrounded by 3 dawdling waitresses, just waiting to all make out with each other — «ummmm yeah it looks like it’s gonna be another 2 hours, but you can order take out.» Another striking blow; we left puzzled, and more ravenous than ever. Later that night, my partner and I discussed ritual suicide. We decided we could not die with this little dignity. Bangkok wok has amazing panang curry.

I have been to all the thai restaurants in this area. This one is unique. It rivals Bangkok wok in flavor, but FAR surpasses it in service. The presentation is lovely as well as their unique menu. Great spot for a bussiness lunch or dinner. Though not an enticing environment, I recomend it for a post movie dinner. It’s open dining area lacks intimacy, however there are some tactical spots to sit at where you feel a bit more private. Their pad thai is fantastic, better than silver springs shopping center Pad Thai restaurant and Bangkok wok. Presentation is lovely, with two cute wontons on the side of your entrée and they brought a trio of sauces. Their Buddha dumplings are so unique! Loved the spicy thai version of pesto sauce it came in. Their calamari was good, however I felt that Pad Thai has better preparation. The wine cilantro dipping sauce was a nice change though. It’s a great place to eat and definatley bring a friend!

Can’t believe I missed reviewing this place. I have been here four times over the past year and it is consistently good. This is one of the few places in Mechanicsburg that gets full quickly. I could not get a table on two occasions, which is rare in this town. The service team is friendly but my only knock here would be that they are normally understaffed and service and food wait imes are on the slow side. The kitchen prepares food on a high level, serving unique Thai fusion dishes. I have yet to have anything here that I did not enjoy. A solid spot in a cruddy shopping center. The interior is well done and well maintained.

Probably one of my favorite restaurants in central PA. The servings are great and the atmosphere is really calm. You can take in your own bottle of wine and they’ll chill it for you as well. They have fantastic service and are very friendly. The serving sizes are excellent and I would highly recommend.
