I’m a regular Dollar Tree shopper because replacement paper plates, cups, plastic ware, etc for camping are infinitely cheaper here than Walmart. Additionally, cleaning supplies and«fun cheap toys«can be found here. Silly string, pool floaties, etc. so I always feel like I can spend a couple of bucks on junk and not really care. Greeting cards are 2 for a buck and a MUCH better deal that a Hallmark store … same sentiment, 75% less ;-) Staff are always pleasant and helpful. I even purchased all the glass candleholders for my wedding from here. The only thing I am hesitant to purchase in here is food products or medicine(toothpaste or anything that could be ingested) because of so many of the scares with imported products from China. I also wouldn’t buy anything for pets. Chew toys sure, rawhide, mmm, no.

A very good selection of stuff, all for $ 1, which the Family Dollar and Dollar General cannot say. I’ve found some really cute magnifier glasses here, too. I did purchase a fragrance spray recently, packaged to mimic Bath and Body Works but the fragrance, while wonderful, did not last more than four minutes. But I do find lot’s of other things here including party/seasonal decorating supplies, household cleaning supplies, etc. Like all the other dollar stores though, they charge top dollar for the pet food & supplies. I have never understood the reasoning behind that. If you are going to offer discounted human food and drink, why would you not also discount the pet food? So that is one thing I never buy at any dollar store because I can find my pet food elsewhere for much less.

I don’t normally frequent these dollar shops for items other than cleaning supplies. We usually shop here for their«Awesome» cleaner which is as it’s name says… AWESOME. In our efforts to kill two birds with one stone, my sons decided to run into Dollar Tree while I was picking up a few things at the Karn’s next door. When I came out into the parking lot to get into our vehicle, I realized that the one bottle of awesome opened and spilled all over the back seat! My son said that casheer checked all the bottles as if this were a regular problem, however she apparently bumped one open and we had a huge mess on our hands. I went back into the store with the dripping bag and tried to explain to the casheer what happened. She called a manager which tried to find the bottles with a cap instead of the ‘sprayer’ attachment. He was unsuccessful and said that they never know when they’ll receive either style bottle. I said we needed a roll of paper towels as we had a huge wet mess in our vehicle. At this point I thought maybe he’d offer us the towels for free, but I was mistaken. We had to pay an extra dollar to clean up the mess that their malfunctioning bottles made. About 2 years ago, the same thing happened in the trunk of my car after shopping at the Harrisburg location. I found it too late and was not in a position to return the bottle and complain. I thought it was an isolated situation, but after shopping at this location I realize I need to be more careful.
