Mountain View Village

I’ve lived in this apartment community with my wife for about a year and a half, and have have had a great experience thus far. All the buildings are well maintained, and the property manager and service staff are always courteous. The staff is always on top of general preventative maintenance, which is in stark contrast to a lot of places I’ve rented in the past whose rules were, «if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.»
We started in a one bedroom apartment, and decided to upgrade to a two bedroom apartment in another building when our first year lease was up (the huge difference in space is well worth the extra money). The surrounding area is quiet residential, with various parks, a golf course, and access to I-​81 all within a five minute drive.
The only issue we’ve noticed since living here is that the sound-​proofing between upstairs/​downstairs apartments is pretty poor. If your neighbors (or their TV or stereo) are at a noise level louder than normal inside voices, it carries pretty well through the floor/​ceiling (interestingly, we’ve never heard anything from our neighbors on either side of us).
The rent could probably stand to be a bit less, but you’d be hard-​pressed to find an apartment with the same level of service and excellent neighborhood for any less.
