Best crabs in Southern Maryland. No competition whatsoever. Don’t come here unless you want the best.

One of my favorite places to eat seafood, especially blue crabs. Friendly staff and a great view of the Patuxent River. I try to go there once a week during the season. Get there early, as it can get pretty crowded as the evening progresses.

These were jumbo crabs and very full. It’s location is just right setting on the water. Small parking out front but enough behind the rebuilding. A family run seasonal eatery. The crabs were perfectly cooked. It was clean and very social. The fried shrimp were large and the fried oysters were delicious. The waitress did not let any drinks set empty for long. I met the owner Mr. Leonard Copsey. He is a wonderful person and a gentleman. The atmosphere is a family style where everyone knows your name. If you are a regular there they seam to treat you like family. I enjoyed it very much. They are only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday. They were packed while I was there. Only 7 minutes off the main road. Well worth the trip.

Because this place is seasonal, I think that hurts the quality of service, but that doesn’t bother me enough to make me not go! This place is quirky, secluded, and fun. On top of all that, the crabs are delicious, and all good size. $ 40 for a dozen too, can’t beat that unless you cook them yourself. Also would be perfect for the cliché Maryland family crab feast during the kid’s summer break. Comes complete with the old type wood building, right on the water, with paper on the tables, and mallets for the kids to play with. It’s been in business since the 1930s, and I can see why. GOENJOYTHISPLACE(before it closes for the season again)!!!

I Returned again this year like I said I would and got the Seafood Platter again. Still the best Seafood Platter of anywhere I have ever been! The waitress was very friendly and service was outstanding! I will be back again late in the season or next year, as I do not get to this area of Maryland that often. I will recommend this place to anyone. Keep up the great work.

We ordered a dozen crabs and were aware that it’s still early in the season. However, if there are bad crabs that we’re not eaten, the customers should either be reimbursed or given more crabs. We weren’t given either option. I was given melted margarine, not butter as I had asked for. The service was good and our waitress was friendly but we probably will not be back. The two stars were for the service and the steamed shrimp, which was good.

A very nice restaurants! The waitress are very kind :) Its a good place to go to a date with someone to have a nice lunch/dinner. I have to say that in sunset time the view outside is amazing. The food is great! A little bit pricy but still worth it!

Drift Inn is the go to place!!! If you like crabs, this is your place. If you love crabcakes, you’ll be in heaven. Hubby and I go and normally sit at the bar and grab a few draft beers. We start with a cup of Maryland Crab Soup(do not get a bowl — not worth the extra money and it’s not much bigger than a cup serving). We both order crabcakes and get a side of fried clam strips or oysters and a side of sweet potato fries. If you like sweet potatoes, listen to me … GETTHESWEETPOTATOFRIES!!! They come out super hot and sprinkled in cinnamon and sugar. They’re delicious. From the outside, you might be inclined to turn away, but don’t. Drift Inn is a diamond in the rough. Closed in off season — begins in October and doesn’t open back up until May or June.

A nice southern Maryland crab house on the water. Friendly staff and the crabs are always good.
