My third time here… food was better as was the service! The best Italian food in Mechanicsville.

Had a great experience there — went kinda early and basically had the place to ourselves. Waitress was very good and the food was excellent. My wife ordered the Giambanco salad and really liked the chicken, something about which she is very picky. I ordered Shrimp Arrabiato (sp?) and the waitress came back to be sure I knew it was ‘spicy’… and it was pleasantly so, at least to my taste. Others might find it overpowering, be warned.
Looking forward to going back.

This is hands down the best Italian place to come to for the freshest of everything! Creative salads, amazingly fresh pizzas, pastas and sauces. Everything is made from scratch even the mozzarella! This family take the utmost pride in their product and it shows. They have great specials on the weekdays. 2 people can eat for $ 25! Who does that??? not to mention the drink specials. Wednesday is half price bottle of wine and Thursday is $ 2 draft beer and they have craft beer on tap!!! Let me just say the bread they give you is steaming hot and amazing too! Just go, don’t hesitate and you will not be disappointed. I am there at least once a for my fix.

I have eaten here several times and the food is always amazing. The first time I visited I had the seafood pizza that had shrimp, crab, and lobster. Absolutely sensational! They have a great bar area with great wine and beer selection. 8 draft beers. This is definitely a hidden gem in mechanicsville that is definitely worth checking out.

Enjoyed this authentic Italian dinner. The restaurant is in a shopping center and we could see it is a local favorite. Our server Tyler was knowledgeable and his recommendations were excellent. The beef bruschetta was wonderful
And the penne pesto delicious.
The wine list is adequate and desserts are home made. We recommend this restaurant for superior service and well prepared and tasty food

Absolutely perfect! It’s rare that we eat out for an Italian meal, since I cook Italian at home. But, the meal was Fantastic, as we ordered meals we won’t cook at home. The appetizer was a mushroom, crab, mozzarella dish. DELICIOUS! The entrée portions were just right, as I had the lobster crab ravioli half portion. My husband ordered the red clam sauce with linguini. Both of us left satisfied, even though I considered licking my plate! Excellent service Jordan, from start to finish! We’re not sure how we’ve missed this little Italian restaurant for so long! But, we will definitely return soon.

Amazing fresh Italian food! Bread is warm and freshly baked in the restaurant. Veal parmigiana is fantastic! Everything on the menu is superb

We ordered a vegan pizza, NY style (hold the cheese)., with roasted eggplant, roasted red peppers, red onion, and it was spectacular as well as very reasonably. priced. They use nice ingredients, and the crust is fabulous. Good service, too

Stop one day to get a take-​out order was very much surprised on how good the food was. Wife and I were there few days later for dinner food was excellent specially being fresh right out the kitchen cannot say enough good things about it especially being in Mechanicsville about the only decent restaurant to eat at

Have been there several times the food has always been fresh prepared very well and very very good. We decided to use them to cater event recently and they exceeded all my expectations of what a caterer should do. The food was loved by all that came and ran out of a couple of items on the peoples getting seconds and thirds.

Wife and I went out for dinner. Sense there’s only one or two choice for good food in Mechanicsville. We went to our favorite Italian grill. Each time we go we try something different on the menu. And each time we do we are pleasantly surprised at the quality and presentation and the amount of food that we get for the price. For us this is one of the best Italian restaurants there is in Richmond.

Excellent food! I have not had a bad meal here, yet! Love the décor and the staff. Wish they delivered! Ok maybe I don’t! I would be ordering every night!

Excellent service! I called a few a hours before coming in to ask if they will be able to accommodate a group of ten people. We were going there for my husband’s birthday dinner. The lady I spoke with on the phone was very kind and assured me they will have a spot for us that evening.
Our waiter had only been there a couple of days, but was superb with handling our situation. We were a group with different dietary needs, one was in training (strict diet) and two were vegan. He spoke with the chef to make sure that our meals were prepared to favor our diets accordingly.
Food was delicious and the wine selection was splendid!

The filet bruschetta is worth the trip! We had the New York style pizza and it was the best pizza I have had in a really long time! The service was also very good!

My family and I eat hear all the time and have not had anything that we have not loved yet!

2 stars at best. Food is mediocre at best. Been there twice now and will not return. Decent service but I can make better food at home. Bummer!

This is the best kept secret in the RVA, folks! Ambience, courtesy, and expedient service compliments the excellent cuisine. Salads were fresh and lush, the Bada Bing Shrimp is marvelous, and a strong recommendation to try the Veal Giambanco — -OTHERWORLDLY! The next time Italian is the craving, fulfill it here… you will not be disappointed!

Beautiful décor. Good service. Good portions. Lobster and crab bisque was very good. Salad was small.

Margherita Pizza New York style was done perfectly in every way and very good value. Lobster Ravioli was delicious and available as a half portion. Trout with Asian Honey Ginger sauce was also delicious and good value with two sides. Service was excellent for a Sunday afternoon. Altogether a very very nice family lunch. Can’t wait for the next visit — to try some of the pasta !!

I had my birthday dinner here tonight for a group of 11 – 12. They accomodated us beautifully! Everything was timely, hot, friendly and delicious! I had the godfather martini… it’s amazing! I also had 4 sour apple martinis, they have a great bartender… and use premium liquor. I don’t even have a headache. ;) all the staff was super nice and personable. I have no complaints, Thanks for a wonderful time!

Went there seeking a good italian resturant since I have recently moved here from Arizona and I was not dissappointed! This place is beyond amazing. We ordered the lobster bisque, calamari and mushrooms for appetizers. Everything was amazing, but the mushrooms were by far the best I have ever tasted!
Our entrees included the crab cakes (delicious, best ones ive had yet), the chicken alfredo (good amount of sauce and yummy, can’t go wrong with Alfredo), the rainbow trout with their Bada Bing sauce (kind of a sweet sour sauce, but it went really well with the fish, which was expertly cooked), and finally I ordered the pollo fiorentina… that dish is going to be something I crave forever now. Artichokes had a nice lemon taste, chicken was breaded but not greasy in anyway, the sauce I could drink… it was so good.
Service was awesome, really friendly, suggested menu items and checked on us regularly. If I could give 6 stars I would.
It’s a tad bit on the expensive side but worth it.
Will go back!

This was our first visit and it could not have been more perfect. Our waitress Kaitlyn was amazing, she answered all my questions and gave great recommendations! All the staff were very inviting and made the experience personable. The food is ridiculous! The bruschetta appetizer with the fresh mozzarella was super tasty! My Chicago style pizza was so cheesy I had to use a fork… Perfect! My husband loved his pasta and the desserts were so creamy and clearly homemade! We will definitely be back!
