This is a large produce stand with many options for produce and even eggs, ham, honey and other local goods. We stopped by for the pumpkin harvest and we enjoyed ourselves. They had wagons available for shopping, but our son enjoyed riding and pushing/pulling the wagon as we picked our family pumpkin. They also had a lot of Halloween/Autumn décor, lots of flowers, a hay slide and a hay maze! The service was friendly and quick and parking was ample. We will definitely be back. IMHO, it is a great place to pick up some local produce.

So much local produce, at prices better than the grocery store. Even the produce not from Hanover strives to be local, and they have a good selection of jarred spreads and stuff too. Also, local eggs, cheese, and butter; you must go here!

GREAT selection of local produce at GREAT prices. They even have several specialty items(not super local, but somewhat) such as preserves, BBQ sauces, etc. We got the famous Hanover tomatoes, some squash, BBQ sauce, and the Triple Crown preserves. Everything was great. We’ll definitely be back!

Awesome produce stand! So much amazing local produce. Its worth the drive from ShortPump. And they are open 7 days a week from April — November.

BEAUTIFUL produce! HUGE Hanover tomatoes. Fresh, butter beans, squash, eggplant… the list goes on and on. If you live anywhere other than the Hanover/Mechanicsville area, it’s a bit of a hump, but you won’t regret checking out this stand.

This review is for Stuart, the guy selling fresh seafood out of his cooler at Pole Green Market. This fellow is a real character and great fun to talk to. He is also selling very high quality crab meat, dry pack scallops and shrimp. His stuff is not cheap, but it is of higher quality than I can get at any fishmonger in town for about the same price. So I am more than happy to support this local business man.

I was there this week and it was great as always. Only thing missing was the japanese(finger) eggplant. I saw the sign but when asked, no one really helped. they should take sign down if they don’t have it is my suggestion. rest of veggies was wonderful. They also offer Stuarts Fresh seafood choices. The guy selling the seafood has a wonderful helpful personality. All local seafood(none of that mystery Asian stuff)… We love to support our local farmers and fishing industry.

Quite possibly any other day, this may have been a really good find, but today, it ummm lacked some sparkle. Not to say this is a bad place, it isn’t. It was just a long drive to find a decent sized, but not very large produce stand. The stand mixes some locally grown produce, as well as items that can likely be found in your local grocery store. The reward is if you buy the local items, the quality and pricing is great. If it is produce shipped in, you’re likely to be better off going to Kroger’s. If you’re in that part of the area, stop by and visit. For us, it’s a long way to go for what we’re able to purchase there.
