Really really good Pizza! This place turned me onto NY style and now I can never go back. The prices cannot be beat! This place is the best top five I’ve had across Merica hands down. Keep up the good work!

If you’re looking for fancy then this isn’t your place. But if you’re looking for a decent size sub or wrap and perhaps a deli salad(usually Mac Salad available) this place has fresh with reasonable prices. Never tried the pizza so I can’t really comment in all fairness about that.

Worst Customer Service Ever. My dad has lived in Mechanicville for 4 years. For the past 2 years or so he’s ordered from this place. Always raved about the food. Then tonight, he calls to make his weekly order. The kid answered the phone asked where it was going my dad gave his address and he goes«okay you’re all set». My dad goes, «well don’t you need my order?» He goes«oh yeah what can i get you?» My dad asked about the Tuesday night special of 7.99 for a 12 cut pizza. Kid says no that ended in October. My dad said«well i got one just in February.» Kid says«no you didn’t, it ended in October». My dad let it go. He gave him his 6 cut pizza, dozen wings order and they hung up. Sub King then calls HIM back and the kid goes«why are you calling me a liar about the pizza?» My dad was like«I didn’t call you a liar but you called me back i didnt call you». Kid goes«yeah you called me a liar». Now my dad lost his temper and said«yeah now that you mention it, you are a liar». So the kid goes«we don’t want your business, don’t fucking call here again.» So he calls them back later and asked to speak to a manager. Talked to the owners son, Jeff. Rudest owner ever. He told my dad that his building tenants are«a bunch of assholes» «rude and never tip» My dad lives on the 3rd floor and has NEVER asked for them to walk up the stairs. He walks down every single time and still tips them. Even his dog knows when he says«sub king? okay ill be right down» he goes crazy and barking. The one time he called after his hernia surgery he told them before he ordered that he cant come down the stairs and they said no problem and then the delivery guy refused to come upstairs. Anyway, the owner’s son told him to fuck off more than once and then proceeded to tell him to never«fucking call here again, you’re all a bunch of assholes» Great customer service. Hope your place burns. :)

Best Pizza in Mechanicville hands down. We were skeptical cause of the name, don’t let it fool you, the pizza is great. Not the best I’ve ever had(sorry I love the corner shops in Greenwich village), but by far one of the best in the Albany area. mozzeralla sticks are good too. Ordered twice in a month, great both times.

I used to come here all the time when I was a kid, after midterms I would walk down to Sub King and get a turkey bacon sub. They were always consisted and fresh. Now I come here from time to time to get the same sub and I also have discovered their hot turkey sandwich with french fries and gravy. It is awesome, hot turkey on white bread covered in gravy, and if you don’t like gravy fries people, something is wrong with you! I have had their pizza in the past… I wasn’t a big fan of it, but while I was waiting for my food I saw a pie in the slice display, I’m not going to lie it looked good… real good. Looks like I am going to have to give their pizza another try soon.

Great selection choices. Good food. Decent prices. The pizza is really good. They will make 12 cut pizzas into triangle pieces if you don’t want it square.

Sub King of Mechanicville is a good quick place to stop for a tasty sub. I can recall stopping at Sub King in Cohoes for turkey subs a long time ago, back in the 1990s before a fire happened there in 1997(I won’t go into detail, but it made the local news). Sub King now offers 12″ cold subs for $ 5(plus tax), competing with the Subway a block away. Besides the made to order subs, Sub King offers pizza, appetizers, pasta entrees, grilled sandwiches, salads, dinner plates, and cold drinks. Subway does not offer a footlong turkey sub for $ 5, but Sub King does, which was the reason I decided to stop here for lunch recently. The service was quick and friendly. I had a 12″ Turkey Sub($ 5.35 with tax) which was well made and not messy and had smoked turkey breast, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, onions, American cheese, and lots of mayo on a very firm sub roll. I was already full after eating half the sub, so I had a turkey sub again for dinner.
