I have eaten there numerous times, the Friday fish is excellent. I’ve never had a bad meal there. The burgers are wonderful and the sourdough bread is the best!

Good food and friendly place, though we got some stares for not being local. The portions are huge and it was pretty tasty. We only went for breakfast and our biggest complaint is that all the meats were really, really salty and they put butter on your butter. We needed extra drinks to handle it. But the burrito was good and the chocolate chip pancakes were awesome but huge.

Nice family run place. It’s a favorite with the locals. Waitress has been there since 1994. She was friendly. Pie is homemade. I had the blueberry pie and it was good. I had a Swiss burger and it was okay. Big but nothing special. Maria had the country fried steak and she said it was good.

If you want homemade food in a down to earth atmosphere, KJ’s is for you. If you are looking to have a «chef inspired dish that pairs well with such an such wine», KJ’s is not for you. Small, family owned restaurant with only 12 tables. During the week they have 1 cook, 1 waitress, and 1 dishwasher yet ticket times are never more than 15 minutes, but average between 10 and 12 min. They up the staff for weekends. On a weekend you might wait longer for a table than you will your food, which speaks volumes about the food here, especially the breakfast. Because the restaurant is so small and busy on the weekends the staff ask that you wait to be seated, but don’t during the week. The staff is very accommodating and are quick to make any changes to menu items to suit your needs or to accommodate large groups. You get great portions for the price. The owners do not skimp on much. Burgers are fresh patties that are all hand weighed to 8 oz and are 80⁄20 ground chuck, they are served with Chips and pickle and a hamburger is only $ 4.25! Diane, the owner who is in her seventies, opens the restaurant every morning to start cooking the soups, preparing salads for the salad bar, bake desserts, and make the daily dinner specials like Meatloaf, Beef Strogonoff, Lasagna, Goulash, Wet Burritos, Chicken Stew, Chop Suey, etc. Dinner isn’t as busy as breakfast or lunch, but KJ’s does not serve any alcohol so surrounding restaurants will seem to be getting more business, plus they close at 7 pm. Give it a shot and you will see why it’s the local favorite!

Went here a few weekends ago for breakfast. Out neighbors recommended it and we weren’t disappointed. It’s classic American breakfast, nothing special. The staff was relatively friendly and the food was cooked well. Really nothing to complain about, just not anything outstanding to report either.
