Love this place! They are the best around! Best Italian subs! Tried everything on their menu and the only thing I haven’t been impressed with is their meatballs… But other than that everything is amazing!

My stomach growls just thinking about this place. Right from the moment you walk in you are met with copious amounts of amazing-looking(and turns out, amazing-tasting) foods. From the door you walk in and on the right side is a deli type area with lots of pre-made foods that are already packed, so you can pick up and go. Also lots of things, like pasta salads(were those some gargantuan arancini I saw too??), that you can get packed to go. In the back you order/pick up your subs and other assorted awesomeness. The customer service is friendly and fast, you feel very welcomed here. I ordered my subs and took a lot around at the freezer behind me. Striped ravioli? Adorable AND logical, as the red strips indicated lobster ravs, the green stripes were spinach, and I think the brown striped ones were meat and/or mushroom. AND I am not ashamed to admit my mouth literally just watered as I typed these ravioli descriptions out. I was describing these to my(Italian) boyfriend and he said this is normal. It was my first time seeing it though. So go here. Enjoy.

BESTBUTCHEREVER. I have never tried anything here except their fine premium raw cut meats but OMG they’re marinated meats are THEBEST on the universe, no one can compare. Ah-So marinated steak tips will have you the most loved person at every bbq. And their sweet, spicy, and garlic flavored sausages are just life– so juicy and amazing. Their ground beef is always fresh, tender, bright color red, juicy and high quality. I can’t say enough amazing things about the quality of this butcher shop. And always easy parking close by.

Simply the best. Subs, deli, prepared food, cannot be beat. Best steak and cheese in MA as far as I’m concerned. When my time is over and I’m laid out at Dello Russo’s, position me so i have a view of Bob’s, and all will be right.

BEST salads & subs in Medford(and surrounding cities). The food is always fresh & delicious! The staff is always super friendly! I have to give a Special shout out to Stephanie at the check out — she is a special person & always has a smile on her face! I’m in Bob’s at least 3 – 4 times a week & my son adores her! Even when he is bouncing off the walls she is always happy to see us!

oh my god. where do we start? not since my jersey days as a tyke did i think i would ever see another real italian sub — like those were the days where we had four seasons, and not this extreme summer/winter mixture of late. back in my day — man, i sound old. let’s skip right to the sub. the jumbo italian combo is a PERFECT annie-sized portion(sorry, damien, had to do it. but no crumb will be left untouched). they will toast the bread if you ask, so the answer is YES. the olive oil is true and zippy, the vinegar has serious kick, the cold cuts and cheese are of excellent quality, the bread is good, the hot peppers add extra zing — THANKYOU, BOB’S, for taking me back to one of the few delightful moments of my childhood, and to know that you are in my backyard for the next time i have a craving. this is almost too good. this is a small grocery store, deli, purveyor of meals and to-go items. well-loved and well-attended. it’s a place the regulars know and just go to. you know, bob’s. yeah. you want anything? what else. my roommate refuses to try anything else on the menu other than the chicken parm because it is just that good. why stay away from heaven when you can be there. fresh chicken sausage with broccoli rabe is 5.99/lb. fresh pasta is 3.99/lb i believe and several cuts, all ready to go. excelente. fresh lobster and pumpkin ravioli(i think it was 9.99/lb), check. lavazza coffee, generously laden fresh pies at ~17 each. this is a place that i can trust to do 6 foot subs to go! i have yet to eat my way through the hot entrees but am excited. my cat and i approve of the shredded mozzarella(it is true. she eats better cheese than most humans). she is standing by the sub in homage to its cheese quality, so i’d better get back to finishing what i started. over and out for now!

Best sirloin BBQ steaktips. Huge portions and cooked to perfection. Well over 8oz of steak for under $ 20 you can’t beat that. I ordered mine with a side of mash and broccoli and they were also excellent

Such a huge selection! This review is only for their homemade pasta, which was awesome. Got the goat cheese and spinach ravioli and meat ravioli and then their meatless marinara sauce. Sauce is super chunky which I love. Will be stopping in here to grab more for dinners! Definitely want to try the gnocchi. Priced right too.

Love this place, but I’m here for the fashion, not the subs! Go Kelly!

Aside from the shop in malden across the street from big a’s, the best sandwiches around. A small comes on fresh scalli bread and Is certainly large enough for one with a large appetite. A huge selection of hard to find Italian speciality items, house made pastas and sauces. Sweet and desserts. House made sausages and marinated steak tips, chicken tips and lamb tips. Steaks are cut to order.

The food is fantastic, always. The outrageous delivery fee is not, however.

Wow is all I have to say about this amazing place. My roommate and I just moved to Medford and were looking to explore the local restaurants. So naturally, we Unilocaled and discovered this place. When we arrived, we were so overwhelmed with the options that were displayed before us, that it took a few laps of the small store to understand what the deal was. The place has a market-like feel with stations of salads, cold cuts, sandwiches and pasta dishes. Our entrees came with a side salad and bread as well as homemade Italian dressing. There were so many treats and desserts. I feel like I could eat there every day for months and still be left with other items to try on their menu. My roommate ordered the ravioli and I had chicken piccata. Both were excellent and the portions were huge. 10⁄10 would order from again… Probably tomorrow.

Wow. I was on vacation in Boston with a small group last week. On the way back from downtown to the suburbs the group collectively decides to stop for lunch, some local treasure to give us a taste of the town. Thank you Unilocal. We found Bob’s, and it was perfect. Located off a main road in what outwardly seemed like a seedy neighborhood, this unassuming little corner shop deserves your time. In fact you owe it to yourself to go here. We stopped in primarily for some sub sandwiches, but to our pleasant surprise it is a full deli and convenience-style grocer stocked with good products including many in-house prepared meals and deserts. The sandwiches were amazing. I had an Italian sub, big, quality meat and bread, and loaded with flavor. I was immediately envious of the rest of my party however upon seeing their hot subs: a couple chicken cutlet variations and a tri-tip steak sandwich. The hunks of meat weren’t just huge for the sake of size, this was quality food, and a lot of it. Awesome sandwiches the size of a man’s forearm, for a fair price. One stop shop for a full lunch or dinner. Make time to check this place out. It may not be what you imagine when you think New England Cuisine, but this place would be a standout in any town.

Very good sandwiches, very, very, good and large portions at a reasonable price. I had the chicken and veggie stir fry and my parents had the italian subs. They are a tough crowd to please and they were satisfied and happy about their choice. Mom loved the bread. We also ordered prosciutto a quarter pound on the side and picked at it while we devoured our sandwiches. The prosciutto was reasonably priced and was quite good. It was $ 2.60 ish for a ¼ pound. I will definitely pay that again! I am glad this spot is right around the corner from my apartment. I will be back in.

BIF is my biffle for shizzle. Bob’s has been a friend of mine for many a year and they never let me down. Yeah it’s a little pricey but good quality food tends to be higher end than what the usual fare may bring. You gotta try the stuffed cherry peppers. Nuf said…

Yum! Tasty food, big portions, and good value. It truly feels like you are in the North End, in this very authentic Italian spot! Tried the grilled Turkey Tips on a French roll(it was a special) plus got some yummy tortellini salad to go. Both were fresh and flavorful! My only real complaint is the lack of space to chill while waiting for your food. I think next time I will order my food ahead of time. I love the fact that this place is steps from my apartment!

Have been looking for places to Foodler that have good subs at work & we tried Bobs, because if you are remotely from the Medford, Malden, Somerville, Everett area YOUKNOWOFBOBS!!! So when I saw that they Foodler’d to work we instantly knew we had to order… So we got the Italian(Deluxe of course — Yes Please Prosciutto) and Steak & Cheese… the Prego one wanted Potato Skins. Came within an hour & was a little put off by the size, either the portions have changed or just being smaller things always seemed bigger then… I ordered a Jumbo Steak just because I wanted a braided roll and was like Ooh I will have more than enough to take home for later… But NO… it was smaller than the Large Italian…(must be the Braided) The italian was dry, It needed SOMETHING… Maybe more oil or more«Something» But the meats were good & fresh, just needed something. The potato skins were a bag of potatoes & container of cheese… If you want more you better ask for it… Because it came with nothing… Otherwise it was good, would order again, just might call as Foodler only allows certain topping options & to better customize it might be easier to call(if they even deliver on the phone or we just HAVE to go through Foodler)

Sadly downgrading my vote to 3.5−4 stars for 2 reasons. 1) The steak. The steak I got was more on the medium than medium-rare side. Also, I asked for extra salt and cracked black pepper and I don’t think they put ANY on the steak at all. Cut of steak is good, but preparation just wasn’t up to par as last time. 2) The salad. This salad just PISSESMEOFF. For $ 10 this is just sad. This is a pile of sad iceberg lettuce with 1 boiled egg, some ice cold chicken, some soggy bacon and a couple tomato slices. This is more expensive and much, much worse that something I could have picked up at Au bon pain or hell, even CVS. Don’t order salads from here!

This place is the bomb! Prosciutto and buffalo mozzarella? Amazing. Steak bomb sub? The best. Soppressata and provolone? Delicious. I could go on but there is no need to – just come here for amazing sandwiches that are super affordable and super fast. Get the hots and pickles on your Italian sandwiches too for that extra kick! Oh, they have hot foods available as well, like pizza and pasta. The pasta is made to order, so give it a good 10 min. Huge portions that come with bread and salad. Chicken alfredo is ridiculously cheesy, in a wonderful«I wish I wasn’t lactose intolerant» way. Meatballs are huuuuge and fantastic and the bolognese is tight. Mmmm…
