Yet again, I wish I would have read the Unilocal reviews before I stopped. Drive through service sucks. Something is always wrong with the order. And today, after sitting in the drive thru for a half an hour, the ice cream machine is broken and all I wanted was a shake. Slow. Rude. Ridiculous.

They have(usually) fresh hot food and quick service. It’s the closest location to me.

Once again, another 15 minute wait in the drive thru. Only two cars ahead of me.

Alright I’m gonna preface this by saying I’m not going to burger king expecting a life altering experience, great service or a big surprise in how much more delicious my rodeo burger in medford was than the one I had in Alabama. I’m not going to be one of those Unilocalers surprised, jaded and vocal about how they didn’t get a stellar meal at an off the highway fast food joint. I realize where the bar is set, i know it won’t be raised much higher from location to location and I go to burger king fully aware of all these facts. However, in a capitalist economy dependent on the exchange of goods and services for currency I do expect to at least be able to spend my hard earned cash on chemicals shaped into something that resembles a hamburger with genetically modified seeded bread and soggy lettuce. At the burger king in medford that’s to much to expect. Skip to the end… I arrived at the drive in at 12:45am, 15 minutes before this fine establishment was about to announce last call on burgers and stretch mark enhancement. I was in the drive through. There was an officer of the law in the car in front of me. He ordered and pulled ahead. I waited for someone to take my order. A couple minutes passed, I asked if anyone was there, no answer. The peace officer pulls away with his hot delicious mechanically separated nuggets of chicken like meat product. I wait a couple minutes more, asking a few times if anyone was there, no answer. I started to panic, I was really hungry and this is the only place within a couple miles open this late. I pulled up to the second window, against protocol, for I hadn’t placed an order. The woman in the kitchen glanced at me scornfully and passed by. I honked. I had been waiting for 15 minutes for some of the worst food in the world, embarrassed that I was even there, and now was thinking that they were gonna pass up my business, that they didn’t want me. The women finally came over after I started honking. We got into a pretty good argument, as she was trying to convince me it was my fault because i hadn’t yelled loud enough into the order box, even though i thought usually they ask you when they’re ready to take you order. I left thoroughly angry and still hungry, 20 minutes after arriving at the ‘fast food’ joint. In retrospect however, I won. As annoying as that night was I didn’t eat burger king.
