Such a cozy quaint little bistro in a busy area. Feels really out of place and a throw back to actual customer service eras. Ordered a spicy start and a g-start. Both were really well done, and adequately spicy. The coffee was good and woke me up for the day. The TV was playing italian spanish as my girlfriend called it. There’s a bar way back there, but it wasn’t time for me to start drinking yet.

After my mishap of getting a hot dunkaccino vs. frozen dunkaccino at Dunkins, I had to go return my phone at a Sprint store. It was roughly 9:50am when we pulled up to the lot and Sprint opens at 10am. Now that I’ve mentioned 2 places that aren’t Caffe Toscana, let me get to it. We discovered this place(as mentioned above). A neat little coffee/brunch/lunch/afternoon snack place. Menu ranged from breakfast sandwiches to desserts set out to coffee, to liquor out back. With that being said, we got some breakfast sandwiches while we watched an Italian cook-off. We got the spicy start and the G-start. The spicy start is some pepper jack cheese, sausage, spicy mayo and egg .and the G-start is as mentioned before, minus the sausage and add some bacon. I preferred the G-start. I also ordered a large ice coffee. Everything is made fresh, which is good — because then I know it’s an actual egg. We’ll be back for more adventures.

Holding off on a five-star rating since I haven’t tried any of their other offerings, but stopped into this place tonight and got myself a meatball sandwich. And it has to be the best meatball sandwich I’ve ever eaten. Reasonable prices, too. Nice atmosphere, friendly service. There’s a Subway right next to it that I was originally going to get takeout from, but decided to stop in here on a whim instead. My instincts did not deceive me, and the funny thing is I would have spent just as much or more at the Subway. This is worlds better, and I will definitely be back!

Found this hidden gem by accident. Was looking for desserts to go and I hit the jackpot. Brought home some delicious cake slices and a couple of authentic macaroons that even passed my wife’s taste test. Very very authentic. Felt like I was in Italy. Will def be back for some food and some dessert and espressos. Would even like to try breakfast. Very reasonable prices all around.

Recently discovered this nice gem for pastries and desserts. It saved me from having to travel into the city. The lemon tart is my favorite. There is so much flavor in each bite! It’s the perfect balance of lemon and sweetness. The service is impeccable but the ambience is boring. There are a couple of tvs and not enough seating inside. During the evening, expect soccer games and older Italian gentlemen bantering away.

What a wonderful café for a leisurely, weekday lunch with my daughter. We had sandwiches, a bottle of bubbly water, and a shared coffee and dessert, all for around $ 20. We liked the Continental atmosphere. My only complaint was that it was very warm and a bit stuffy on this unusually warm, spring day. I assume they either have AC or fans as summer approaches. It is conveniently located near the Wellington T station. I drove in from NH and my daughter took the T from Boston. We’ll be back.

So far I have really only been here for breakfast and coffee, which were both flavorful and a great value. It really does feel like you are hanging out in the North End, since this seems to be a hangout spot for some of the older Italian gents in the neighborhood. They are always playing Serie A soccer, which my husband is a big fan of! He feels it would be a great spot to hang out at during the World Cup! My only negative criticism, is that the sweets and pastries NOT look fresh. I don’t think I would spend money on any sub par desserts there.

Grabbed a quick cup of coffee and sandwich here for lunch today. Staff was so friendly, food was really good, prices were awesome! Got an oven roasted veggie sandwich and my friend got an avocado blt. Yum! Also, they have a full bar!

I was impressed with this place. I stopped in not knowing what to expect and found it’s a nice large open café with some sweets on display at the register, and a decent menu. I grabbed a chicken parm sub, which I’d been craving lately. It was pretty good, better than I expected. I saw they had pizza slices for $ 1.50, so I tried one. It was good, would probably get that again. I also grabbed a slice of red velvet cake which was great. It’s close to work, and worth visiting again. The TVs were a little loud but there was enough seating and it seemed clean.

This is the spot for my girl and me. Any time we just want to get out of the house, we like to go hang out here and chill. Very old school Italian type coffee shop. Pretty quiet, usually have some type of soccer or news on the small TV. The regulars pretty much just show up and hang out, and the guy that makes the coffee knows his customers like the back of his hand. Just a cool little place without any pretense or judgement.

The food here is very good. Specially the espresso ! Trust me u will come back for it. The only thing is that old mean manager is so rude. He and his son handles the business. The old guy charges me more sometime. His son charges the real price which comes to less than that old mean guy charges. I was like what!!! Really! I also saw that old guy treats his employees so bad !! The worst thing about this place is ONLYCASH

Stopped For a late lunch and had the Greek salad. It had roasted red and green peppers abundant serving of ripe plum tomatoes, nice mixed greens, onions olives and feta. Served on the side was a very good Greek dressing, Very nice indeed. The service was pleasant but somewhat slow especially since there were not many people there. All on all It had a pleasant atmosphere and free parking. It is very Italian. My wife and I both had cappuccinos that were excellent and she had a slice of cake covered in berries that was very good. The bill was under $ 20 which I thought was a good value. I will be coming back.

Solid place. I stopped by for lunch and got a grilled chicken sandwich with iced mocha. All the elements of a good chicken sandwich was there. Lightly toasted roll, fresh bed of vegetables and flavorful chicken. From what i can tell, the chicken pre-cooked and heated up. The chicken was really moist and tender like dark meat but i didn’t get big chunks of fat so it made me think it was white meat. Either way, it was really good. it was about $ 5.20 for the sandwich and it was enough to fill me up. First time visiting and will be sure to go back and try other sandwiches!

Old school place for real Italian coffee. No Dunks here. lol Get their Latte in the morning– yum-O. Dont let the atmosphere of the older men scare you off ladies. They all treat you with respect and you can enjoy soccer on the TV too. Its not a place to grab and go…

Have been coming here for years. North End style café with parking. They have great cappuccino. My wife and I used to go here all the time when we were dating. The tiramisu is one of the best around and they give you a big portion. They also have delicious cannoli’s that they fill to order. Although I usually only come here for coffee and dessert, they do also have sandwiches, wine and liqueurs. It definitely feels like your in the North End. There are a bunch of pictures of Italy around the place and usually a soccer game on the small television. And there is usually a group of old guys hanging out in their suspenders and talking to each other in Italian. They remind me of my grandfather and make me feel right at home. Awesome place.

Right next to Subway, the restaurant people have second thoughts about going to when they look inside. People actually came in because they saw me going in figuring it MUSTBEGOOD… was my highlight Fresh, they have strictly Italian individuals, would make it a little more easier if they spoke English more, makes my decisions very hard, so I always get the same thing every time I go. They know who I am so they just tell me «coming right up». Their food choices are very good, their breakfast sandwiches are one of my favorite(Garden Start). They have a good oven roasted vegetable salad as well. However, Never ends with the Mob outside, they all get quiet for two second then start yelling all over again, there’s a «No Smoking: but these gangstas are posted smoking away… the waiter is efficient always cleaning and what not but just the language barrier makes it hard for someone like me when I go in. their croissants are not as good as they look, they are PLUMPED. But soon as you tear it open there’s like a pinch of filling… and hallow insides, fooled me twice already, NOMORE. I wont be surprised if I actually start understanding the language.

Tip 1: Try to dodge the thick plums of cigar and cigarette smoke right in front of the 2 large«No Smoking Signs» as you make your way past the Sopranos reunion at the front door. The food: Their meatball sub is frozen meatballs dumped into a non– microwaveable container, topped with red sauce and nuked to perfection. They do however use Piantedosi Bakey for the bread. Tip 2: Go to Bob Foods instead.

Do you like Soccer? Do you like screaming old Italian men… watching soccer? If so, this joint is for you… I saw the reviews and noticed there were pretty good reviews for the coffee and desserts here. So, I attempted to meet my fellow Bridesmaids after work to compile ideas for the upcoming Bridal Shower. We all sat down at the itty bitty tables In this very spacious Caffe. I noticed there were quite a few people all facing the front of the Caffe watching soccer and screaming at the TV. Needless to say it wasn’t the environment i expected especially since i was unable to hear even the person next to me. I went up to ask the password for Wi-Fi and order some pastry/coffees for the table. The waitress who kept counting what appeared to be her tips over and over again ignored me as I stood in front of her. I finally interrupted her at the third pass of counting and asked if I could order. She took my order and told me what she thought was the password for Wi-Fi. We ordered 4 Cannoli and 2 pieces of Tiramisu. The Cannoli had melted by the time it got to the table because it was VERY warm in the room. As for the Tiramisu it doesn’t look like the pictures which is a little misleading and it appeared that they purchased it elsewhere and brought it in. I saw them removing the plastic wrapper off of the plastic container. Long story short, this place is LOUD, the pastry is sub par at best, and wait staff is not friendly or accommodating. Additionally for the prices they charge I could have gone into the North End and got better quality and a better ambiance. Skip this place, jump on the T, it’ll be an extra 20 mins but it will be sooooooooo worth it!
