I was with dr dryland, at first very nice. However when, it came to pain, he had a problem. Even with a local hospice trying to help me, he told them to go to hell!!! I know this is true, as he told me they had called and hoped they got the message. Also, when I felt, I needed to see him, I was told no several times. However if he wanted to see me, I was expected to do as told!!! I heavily suggest to stay away from this know it all doctor!!! Just so people know if a dr needs help with a patient, who is not dieing, I can not say for sure if they still do, help but they tried for me. PS dr Dryland was not the one who asked them for help, just wanted to make that very clear!!!

I have been with Dr. Dryland for many years, He is the best doctor I have ever had. Very knowledgeable on my condition A.S. Answers all questions I have ever had, explains options thoroughly. The office staff have always been great, with the lab and radiology it very convenient. I have medicare and have never had a problem.

I was referred to Dr. Dryland’s office by my PCP, due to a second positive ANA test. His scheduler called me within 24 hrs. and offered an appointment for next week. Since I will be leaving town the day of the offered appointment, I requested a later date and was offered an appointment three weeks from today. While the scheduler was confirming my contact and insurance information, I had disclosed that my insurance will change from United Healthcare to Oregon Health Plan. The scheduler’s tone of voice suddenly changed, and I was told that Dr. Dryland’s clinic only sees one OHP patient per month, and that I will be on a three year waitlist. I asked if I could be called in case of cancellations before my current insurance expires this month, and was told that it is not possible, that there basically will not be any cancellations. I then called back and and explained my situation to a second scheduler/receptionist, and asked if the original appt. was available. It was not, which is absolutely possible. Not a big deal. I asked if any of the other rheumatologists had appointments available, and she awkwardly mumbled that everyone else is booked solid. I am a full-time, third-year student(pre-med/pre-health, ironically) and not someone who enjoys«living off of the system.» I fully qualify for every type of aid available and refuse to take it, aside from Pell grants. And OHP, as it is now a requirement under the ACA(which I also did not support). I live on student loans, as with an upper-division science-based curriculum I am unable to work enough to support myself and my son(though I do work). Luckily I have a significant other who is willing to help out with bills and groceries while I am in school. I have been offered money by generous family members, to purchase another term of insurance through SOU. But when this insurance takes effect, I will not be using this team of doctors. Their policies and attitudes toward OHP-covered patients speaks volumes of their feelings towards the«have-nots.»

Knowledgeable Rheumatologist. Took 6 weeks to get an appointment with him, but he was very thorough, and completely diagnosed my problem. He has his own lab for blood work, and xray equipment, so no need to leave the office for basic things. Front office is efficient from what I saw.
