This is the best kept secret on Rt. 70! Usually only open for breakfast and lunch the food is yummy. The servers are young but very friendly and the food is fresh, hot and plentiful. Don’t drive by, stop in for a delicious meal!

We find ourselves down here for ice cream a few times a year on our way back and forth between old camps in the Pine Barrens. This weekend my oldest son and I tried the diner. Its only open until 2pm and serves breakfast and lunch. Simple one page, two sided menu with breakfast on the front and lunch on the back. There is a working juke-box and an open floor plan inside. The staff is friendly and the diner is clean and the décor original to the 60s. I had a burger and my son a hotdog. We split fries and with drinks it was under $ 20 including tip. The food was kind of plain, but what I expected. Next time we’ll do breakfast. The ice cream bar is very popular with generous sizes and selection. The ice cream is 5 star. Great value and fun.

Great ice cream, service, and vintage vibe. Love this place! The line was a mile long but moved fast. Seems like the place to be on a summer night.

One of those roadside diner gems. Excellent breakfast! Very reasonable prices with hefty portions. Does not disappoint. Look forward to next visit.

Stopped by for breakfast on the way to N.J. Darn good breakfast. The sausage is wonderful. They have a three egg/three meat breakfast. Get three of the sausage. Hash browns a bit dry so if you like them moister, let them know. And the kids working there are sweet! Give them an extra big tip.

My wife and I stopped by The Evergreen Dairy Bar on a whim because it looked unique. But what we found was a diamond in the farm lands. They offer every ice cream parlor experience and more. They have many many scoop ice cream flavors as well as your soft serve options. This is where they are a cut above the rest though. I have diabetes so I can’t have too much sugar, but… The Evergreen Dairy Bar has No Sugar Added Soft Serve! We didn’t come to this place because of it, but we will always come back because of it. They also have light food options(hot dogs, sausages, etc.) which is also a plus if you are coming on an empty stomach. The sprinkles on top, pun intended, is they accept most major credit cards(Visa, MC, Discover) which is very convenient because most South Jersey Ice Cream places only accept cash. All in all, if you have a sweet tooth, looking for a diabetic sweet treat, or just traveling on Route 70, The Evergreen Dairy Bar should be a stop you should make.

Best ice cream in Medford! So many choices too! Reasonably priced for Medford, as well. The kids that work here are very efficient & friendly. We are«regulars» all summer.

If your looking for a cheap diner breakfast and your in the area this is the place. At 7:30 on the way to my hike the whole parking lot was filled which was a good indication of good breakfast. We stopped on the way home around 11:30. All the food was great and the old school atmosphere makes it a great place to stop. I would recommend

The ice cream is good but is standard and the atmosphere(the side of route 70) isn’t that spectacular. Maybe I need to try breakfast here to really get it.

My husband and I love the breakfast here! Much cheaper then the diner up the road and the food is infinitely better! The manager is especially delightful and is just wonderful with her regular customers. They even have a card for frequent customers which is such a great idea! For lunch I am especially fond of the chicken salad sandwich, and my husband loves their burgers. This place is great!

Yum-O! This place certainly hit the spot on a summer night. I had asoft vanilla cone dipped in chocolate and was in dairy heaven. I’m not much of an ice cream connoisseur but this was fantastic. G went with a vanilla typhoon with Reece’s peanut butter cups. Cash only. Well worth the $$.

We stumbled in here after returning home from LBI. Looking to satiate our BBQ dinner, we were dying for dessert. Let me tell you… after being stuck in traffic for 2 hours on a 10 mile stretch of sun beaten highway, you’re going to want to have the following: — A cold water — ice cream — a bathroom Luckily this place has 2⁄3 of those options. As the previous Unilocaler said, it’s cash only. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to try their cones and other selections. However, their version of the DQ Blizzard is cheaper, and far superior. Their ‘Blizzard’ came in a 16 ounce soda cup(hell yeah!). There’s limited seating out front, and the diner was closed. If you have to pee, don’t expect a bathroom at Evergreen’s. Although, they have the cleanest porto potty EVER.

Make sure you have cash, they are cash only. There is an atm at wawa down the road towards philadelphia or up the road further towards red lion, there is a beneficial bank. The only thing that changes is the price and the kids working. The price of two small cones is 5.20 this season! Jennifer C. I’m sorry you feel this way, but the restaurant part is rarely open, but it’s nothing remarkable go to Red Lion Diner if you want food. Otherwise for ice cream it is open from Spring until the night of the Halloween Parade. Generally from about noon to 9pm in the summer. Tuesday night is the night to go. It’s called cruise night, everyone comes out in their cool vintage cars and opens the trunks and hoods so you can even look at the engines. Tonight there was a corvette sting ray, a 73 camaro, an old black plymouth belvedere from the 50’s, and a few other cool cars. Even if you don’t like cars it’s still fun to walk around with your cone and look at the cars. The best bets here are twist or plain on a cone. They offer hard packed ice cream and italian ice to compete with Rita’s down the street, but please don’t piss me off and order these things. This is just like ordering a cheesesteak. If you are in front of me I want you to expedite your order. Two small cones one twist, one chocolate. See it’s easy not rocket science. Don’t get fancy and order a gelati here okay. This is some of the best soft serve and if I see you eating it with italian ice I’m going to comment on how amateur you are under my breath. The first cone of the season to me is a religious experience.
