Love this hospital! There once again was an emergency in our family and this hospital is so efficient in every step they take! The nurses are so caring and the doctors are never in a rush to stay the extra time to explain everything well to the patient and the family. The food… well I tell ya. I have never eaten at a hospital with food that good. They took very good care of my mother once again! Nice nurses and doctors that take time and the food being very good are all great; however the best is that I trust their competency! What a relief when it’s my Mom’s life they are saving! Doctor sent my wife to the RVMCER, had to wait almost seven hours! As the radio says, «Had this been an actual emergency»… she wouldn’t have made it! The tone of the waiting room(aptly named) got hostile, and the staff was oblivious. Diagnosis and treatment? Long awaited, and missed. One doctor said to self-treat at home, the other said that as long as she was there they’d do it. Guess they needed to make a payment on some equipment. One nurse complained the hospital was losing money. Gee, if they’d treat patients instead of keeping them in the waiting room for hours, maybe they could make some money. We don’t mind paying for good service, but 7 hours in a hostile environment for mistreatment doesn’t work. They made no apology for the lengthy wait, however made it a point(twice) to attempt to collect a payment on the spot for a «15% discount». A hospital taking«customer service» lessons from American Airlines and Best Buy? YIKES!
