This place was warm. The owner was warm too. Everything was explained, so I was clear about what to expect. An hour was timeless! I thought it would be darker though. I could see a Very faint light coming in through some breathing holes. It was very faint but detectable. Other than that, the complete weightlessness was transforming!

I recently had the opportunity to visit SO Float Spa for a one hour massage with Jamey and a one hour float in the sensory deprivation, epsom salt infused float tank. The entire experience was lovely. Jamey, the owner, has over 10 years experience in massage and is known in the valley from her other business THAT Massage Place. Jamey practices Ashiatsu massage, which is practiced with the feet. This massage reminded me of a hot stone massage, with the smooth long strokes, and the deeper tissue accessed by using the feet. Jamey has the great ability to find those really tight and sore spots and work them out. Also, she’s funny. I would highly recommend Jamey for a wonderful, deep massage experience. The float was a whole separate experience and one I had never heard of. The tank is fully enclosed, not too small(I never felt claustrophobic), and pitch black inside. It truly is a sensory deprivation tank as you really can’t hear or see anything and the 1000 pounds of epsom salts dissolved in the water keeps you afloat. It really feels like something is holding you up, like a board, but it’s just the water! It is very soothing, and when you are done you are quite relaxed and your skin is amazingly soft. I would have preferred my water just a tiny bit warmer, but it was by no means cold or uncomfortable. The magnesium in the epsom salt is great for sore muscles, relaxation and is a mineral we are often deficient in, especially women. Jamey has some great prices and specials, the ambiance is welcoming and soothing, the staff are friendly and excited about your experience. I would, and do, recommend Jamey and SO Float Spa as a wonderful way to treat yourself to some self care.
