I went to this pharmacy for the very first time today and it was as good an experience as you could ever want. I transferred my prescriptions two days ago and waited just to make sure there was ample time to process everything. When I called to check on my prescriptions an automated system told me what was ready and how much it was going to cost me. This is HUGELY helpful when you’re not sure what to anticipate. When I went to pick up my scripts, a friendly woman greeted me. In no time at all I had my order. This Walgreens is located in a nice plaza at Station Landing with ample parking. The store was clean and quiet. Excellent.

Store is clean and well stocked, and the staff is friendly. Leave yourself plenty of time to wait in line. There’s no self check out and usually one cashier no matter how long the line. Always someone making a big to do about some expired coupon or something and the cashier has to take 5 minutes to sort it out. Every time.

One would hope that with all of the technology at her fingertips and the people whose health she is responsible for, that the pharmacist might be able to pick up the phone and call you when she forgot to give your insurance card back, so that, weeks later, you might actually have your insurance card when you reach into your wallet in a time of need. «Sorry, I don’t know who was working that night.»

HATE this store! I go here over CVS only because it is easier to get to from where I live. I get my prescriptions filled here and the pharmacy is pretty decent, but if you are going to a regular check out line, it always seems to be a huge production(you’ll be in line at least 10 min) Oh, and their whole«rewards» program is a total scam. I often purchase products that are marked, «earn 1000 extra points for purchasing,» yet my rewards total on my receipt is ALWAYS the same-what is up w that? I dread going in this place when I have to! While the workers are nice enough, they are all extremely odd.

This Walgreens is huge… and they actually still sell cigarettes(most Pharmacies in Mass stopped last year)… Parking sucks & you might get run over trying to walk through the lot… But the stores great. . Its not 24 hours like the one in Glendale — only downside!

Well theres nothing particularly special about this Walgreens over any other. Its open until 11 which is really convenient if you live in one of the Station Landing apartment buildings. It’s very clean inside, the pharmacy has a drive-thru(which always seemed weird to me given the location). Anyhow, the weird thing is that in spite of appearing to be well-stocked they will NEVER have what you’re looking for(unless you’re looking for the most basic of sundries). It’s odd. You watch… go in there and try to find something you need.

This place seems to have very few employees. I’ve seen a few women and one guy always running the register. They are very nice, and always ask how you are doing, do a little chit chatting. They have let me split up transactions so that I can buy«house» goods and«personal» things in one stop without having to do extra math later. They don’t seem freaked out when I want to use a reusable bag that I bring with me. They seem fairly well stocked. It’s never TOOTOO busy. Sometimes two registers are open, mostly just the one closest to the door that has the cigarettes behind it. I’ve had a little bit of trouble finding things in this store, but when I’ve asked an employee, I’ve been directed appropriately right to what I need. It’s about 5 minutes from my house, and I have a tendency to stop here before heading to CVS, unless it’s one of those 24⁄7 type of a need that I have.

My experiences at this particular walgreens continue to be beyond the level of even receive 1star. For those of you following me… you may or may not realize I was in an acute accident end of December 2010. As you can Imagine this has included many new rx updates and medical needs. Upon picking up four new rx’s(many of which I will include pain medication) I used the convenient DRIVE up window so I wouldn’t have to deal with the havoc of parking but more importantly so I didn’t have to down out of my truck and walk which is very painful for me these days. As the pharmacist rang in my purchases I asked if she could retrieve for me some ear plugs. Mind you there is a sign on the window that states ask if you need anything else… perhaps this overpaid, poorly educated pharmacist… missed out on the day in class where they discussed politeness and customer service… because what followed actually stunned me She actually replied… WHAAAAUT? You want me do GET them for you??? I said yes ma’am if it’s not too much to ask you. I almost felt guilty and lazy for even asking at this point… but my friend who I had on BLUTOOTH sound barked at me and reminded me I was the paying customer. The walgreens employees then replied. well I can’t do it anyway because those kinda things we can’t ring in at this register… I about got out of my car and wished I could hit her with my cane… and I am NOT a violent person mind you… but if there was a way for me to slip my walking gadget thru the drawer… I would HAVE. PS right behind this visually capable human being… was another register where she could have rung the product in! I’m going to end my review with the last and final purchase I will ever make at walgreens happened two nights ago. Same location, dif employee… this time my cane, hand brace and sling visible to her… I asked could you please pick up a mouth guard for me? I was praying the first time was a FLUKE… UMMm I guess I was wrong because she rolled her eyes at me and then said… I guess. LOL I actually had to laugh… but gosh darn it the register did work when she rung in ALL my products

Normally I would not go out of my way to review a pharmacy/convenience store, but the service of 1 individual made all the difference. There is a young gentleman who works the cash register at this location and he epitomizes what every company should strive for with customer service. I wish I knew the gentleman’s name, but he deserves all the credit for keeping customers happy as that exit the store. On a side note, their price on Red Bull is among the cheapest around. And we all know how much I love Red Bull. At the end of the day, my choice of pharmacy comes down to service and product availability. With a CVS right across the intersection, there are other options as a consumer. However, there is one individual behind the counter at CVS that always seems miserable and makes it an easy decision to shop across the way. I realize this review is not entertain, or perhaps even as useful as others. But service is dramatically underrated. The gentleman manning the cash register at this particular Walgreen’s is phenomenal. The mere fact that he displays a noticeable difference is worthy of acknowledgement.

The convenient drive-thru… not so convenient. I truly felt bad for the folks behind me waiting to be tended to while the wait at the drive-thru took over 15 minutes. Prescription was not able to be filled — no worries, just call a different Walgreens store, right? Nope. This is a crazy long process. Nothing was very organized. Pretty much a fail through and through. But at least I was dry in the car… or something.

Yes, another Walgreen’s review. Locations vary, yanno? This place was open 24⁄7(I’m assuming that was from the beginning) but is not anymore. I think they close at 11 or midnight now. There is an older lady who works here who is very nice & helpful. This location has three things that the Walgreen’s near my apartment does not: this Deerfield Farms trail mix with soybeans & stuff in it, Otis Spunkmeyer’s blueberry muffins(TOTALLY bad for me, I know — but sometimes I really crave one, so I split it with the boyfriend), & Squirt soda. OMG Squirt soda!!! SQUEEEEE!!!1 :D Love that stuff so much, & it’s usually a pain in the ass to find. The store itself is pretty large, & usually very clean. One lady dropped a bottle of some sticky juice-stuff, & simply walked away without telling anyone(idiot). No workers had seen it happen, so I was about to start looking for someone to notify… but before I had a chance, an employee was already grabbing the mop & walking towards it. Kudos to workers who actually do their job! Pretty rare at a Walgreens. hehe. It’s easy to find stuff & I’ve never seen it «packed» so it’s quiet & easy to walk around. So far, this is my favorite Walgreens. I haven’t been to hundreds or anything, maybe just ten… but still, this one is my favorite. :)

I’m excited for all the shops that are coming to this new apartment complex at the intersection of 16⁄28 in Medford/Everett. I went in the Walgreens today and was pleased. It was clean, had very friendly employees and was cheap! I’m fond of walgreens since it was my drugstore of choice in college, so I’m excited there is a nice one relatively close to me now. If you’re in the area check it out!
