I highly value doctors who schedule well. When I went to my first appointment, there were two people waiting. Add myself and my husband. There is one doctor and one physician assistant. Now there are four people waiting to see two practitioners. Waited in the waiting room and again in the exam room. Visit felt rushed and the PA and the doc seemed more interested in giving me business cards and getting mine to hand out to others. Jeez, I’m not here to network. I’m here for a confidential medical appointment. Staff member recently left a message in which she called me Pinkie. My name is not Pinkie. Worse, staff member said my blood test was not a fasting blood test. The paperwork I had said it was fasting. I have called this office and waited a week for a return call on more than once. Although I have authorized them to leave messages on my voice mail, they only say, «Dr. Bucco’s office calling you back.» That’s great. Please answer my questions. Cancelled an appointment with my husband because the doc had an all day commitment. Hmmm… probably should have known that when he scheduled. When i tried to sign up for the portal to email the doctor, hoping to get around staff who think I’m called Pinkie and won’t leave a message, it took weeks. When I called them, I was told the staff member who handles the portal only works one day per week. If she didn’t call me the next day, I’d have to wait a week. Maybe in 1974. The kicker? When I finally could email the doctor, she did not respond. When I called to let them know this, the PA not the doc called.
