O’Brien’s Tavern

Jeremy knows what he’s doing, the food is awesome! Not a huge menu, but it doesn’t need to be cause its so good! Had the pork special w cheese and jalapenos, my husband said he could’ve eaten another one it was that good!

We had a groupon for 2 sandwiches and 2 beers.
When we walked in, it seemed a little local-​ish but it wasn’t unwelcoming. We sat at the bar and ordered our food and beers. They have a huge TV and it was playing Blues Brothers. The place has a really laid back atmosphere.
The sandwiches were great! My husband got a reuben and I had the turkey club. They don’t have a lot of options, there were probably 7 sandwiches listed and that’s it. The turkey was legit — it wasn’t that slimy, deli kind of turkey. Everything was melted and gooey and tasty. My husband loved his reuben, which he ate despite being hungover. He usually doesn’t eat after drinking all night so that really says something about how good the sandwich must have been!
He asked the bartender for a bloody mary or for some sort of hangover cure. He suggested a pickle-​back (a shot of Jameson followed by a shot of pickle juice.) Apparently it worked pretty well so props to the bartender!
I could definitely see ourselves coming back for more sandwiches and beers.

Ate tacos at Monte Alban and then needed a Corona.
Found O’Brien’s and Jeremy the bartender who speaks very proudly of his town.
Apparently he makes gourmet grilled cheeses Monday through Saturday. We’ll definitely be back for those. We’ll have the tacos second.

This place is a small-​town gem! The bartenders are quick and drinks are super cheap! They’ve usually got a live band playing on the weekends (and they’re all pretty good, for the most part!). Seems like a great place to walk into a cozy, meet-​your-​friends for a night cap or weekend hang out place. They’ve also got this really cool digital juke box with tons of great music!
They recently started serving food too — menu is minimal but damn good! They only serve at lunch though. If you’re flyin’ through Medina, Obrien’s is definitely a nice break :)
