MG Salon & Spa

I have been going to MG salon in spa for about 6 years, and have since only gotten my hair done by Sarah, seriously, I don’t trust anyone else for a haircut. Sarah is awesome at what she does and knew exactly what to do when I messed up and decided to dye my own hair at home (big mistake. it ended up being tangerine) and her fix came out amazing! This is the second time she’s had to fix my mistake (the first time was when I was a high school freshman) and I couldn’t be happier with the way it came out. I have also gotten prom hair and dance recital hair done by her, and she always knows what to do, no matter how vague my description of what I am looking for is! Sarah is extremely friendly, as is the rest of the staff. Besides Sarah, I have heard that every hairdresser does an amazing job there!
I also get my eyebrows waxed by kelly and she does a phenomenal job, nobody does eyebrows like she does! I’ve gotten acne facials done by her as well as prom makeup and she always does an awesome job!
I highly recommend going to MG salon, you won’t be disappointed!

I went there a few times and while I was initially happy with the place, I became less satisfied with each cut. You get what you pay for. My haircut usually took about 20 minutes and cost $ 40. Mediocre cut — though I did have one real butcher job. I now pay $ 60 for a cut by a great stylist (Marisa) at Fulham Salon in Newton which usually takes an hour. Much more precise and professional looking cut. Worth the time and extra money.

I have been going to Sarah Cabral for several years now. She does a great job cutting/​styling my hair! Everywhere I go people comment on how they love my hair. So I tell them Sarah does it. I even had someone take a picture of my hair so they could get their hair done the same way!
Sarah has a great personality, full of joy. She is very personable & MG salon is a very clean and spacious place.

I went to MG salon and spa yesterday to get my hair fixed from my horrible home hair dye job. Cherie did an amazing job! she gave me a ton of suggestions and spent 2 and a half hours of her time on me. i could not be happier with the outcome. I love how she styled, colored and cut it. she’s very personable and nice. i would definitely go back to see her to get my hair done again! :)

Rose has been doing my hair since I was just a little girl and I love that she is at MG Salon now. The salon is clean and sophisticated and all the staff are very friendly! I cannot recommend Rose enough, she knows what she’s doing! She is a well trained color specialist and knows what will work and what will not when it comes to both color and styling. She is not afraid to give you her educated opinion and enjoys being creative with anything from updo’s and color to just a simple cut. I recommend her to anyone, and suggest you visit the salon if you haven’t yet!

I just moved to the area and have been searching for a new stylist. I called MG Salon & spa and was surprised to get an appointment that day with Charl. After bouncing around stylists and salons for the past few years, I think I finally found my «place.»
The wash, cut and blow dry was exceptional and I ended up with a really great cut and lots of ideas of how to style it in the future. The whole process took a little more than a half hour (only 5 minutes was spent waiting). A blissful, relaxing hour.
How much does this wonderful, upscale, spa-​service haircut cost? $ 35 plus tip (maybe depending on the stylist?) about 20 dollars less than I was previously paying. I’m never getting my hair cut by anyone else again, if I can help it.
I will be back to see Charl in a few days and cannot wait to see how my hair looks again.

MG Salon & Spa is wonderful! The location is super convenient since I live in town. The space itself is great – always clean, very updated and serene. The services they offer are wonderful as well (nails, waxing and there’s a massage person!). Sarah does my hair and is so great! She is always so nice, chatty, personable. She does a great job with my hair as well – the color she does matches my natural color perfectly, and I never have left there unhappy. I always get great compliments on the great job Sarah does. Highly recommend MG!

Suzanne recently styled my daughters hair for a formal dance. My daughter was not sure what she wanted and Sue worked with her to find a style that matched her look perfectly. My daughter received many compliments on how elegant and pretty her hair came out. Sue did an amazing job and we can not say enough great things about her work.

M.G. Salon&Spa in Medway is located in the Ocean State Job Lot Shopping Strip. The Ocean State Job Lot Plaza is very old and outdated from the outside, but Maryann Geyser Hair Studio is very very spacious and beautiful inside. The first time you step in there you are shocked at how big and glamourous the studio is. And they offer many services as well. It is also very clean. It is luxury right in the heart and soul of Medway. I am actually writing the review for my hairdresser Rose but I have to comment on the studio as well.
Rose has been my hairdresser for many years. I am a very spontanious person and sometimes when my hair needs to be colored or cut I don’t want to have to book an appointment as I want it done when I want it done so I run to CVS to buy the hair color and I try to do it myself and it is always awful! I should know better but the spontanious part of me always wins. I cannot tell you how many times I have to run to Rose to correct the damage I have done. Rose is one of the top colorists in the county and she can correct just about anything we girls try to do ourselves. She has corrected my messes many times and I always walk away with a great cut, color and style!
I also have many cowlicks on my head and Rose always knows those troubled spots and she works with them by making adjustments with those magical scissors.
Rose is very fashionable and always looks great.. She works with all ages as well. Alot of times a hairdressers clientel is stuck with a certain age group… not Rose! Her clientel ranges from the young and restless. She can work on any age group. She knows what people want and she knows what style would compliment the person and I have heard her recomend styles at times and they listen and they look great. Everyone that walks away from Rose after she ran her wonderful fingers through their hair looks great.
I also love when I see the young girls Rose has worked on. The young girls are not afraid of change and they sometimes go for some very vogue styles… and Rose is great with those vogue styles. And when prom season comes, she is great with the up do’s. And she does a wonderful job with brides too.
A few years back I was in a store and a woman was in the same aisle as me and her hairstyle looked so nice and really complimented her face. The cut was different but fashionable and classy at the same time and the color was beautiful. I complimented the woman and she went on to tell me that she has a great hairdresser and she loves her and she was going on and on about this wonderful hairdresser and then she told me it was Rose! I was not surprised as a hair cut and color that looked that great had to come from Rose!
I am 46 years old and I saw Rose last month. I did not see Rose for about a year as I kept letting my hair grow and it got pretty long, and I also dyed my own hair this time. Rose kindly told me I needed my color fixed an I needed to change my style and my hair was too long for my age. My hair length was in the middle of my back. Rose was very kind and explained to me that at my age with hair that long really drained my face and she suggested a hairstyle that let me keep length (little past my shoulders) and she cut, colored and styled the hair that took 7 to 10 years off of my face. I am thrilled with the style and tickled pink with the years she took off my face as well! I have received so many compiments that I have lost count. THANK YOU ROSE!
I could write a book about how wonderful Rose is. Rose is the best hairdresser I know. And I would recomend her 100%. If you want a great style or want a change and are open to suggestions, call Rose! You will not be disappointed and you will look great when you walk away from her. And I can guarantee if you go to Rose once you will be back again and again to the point you will be calling her your hairdresser!
