First time at Djon’s, sat in back room. Lots of atmosphere, friendly staff. I’d rate the food ac10. The waiter a 5. Told our waiter of my lactose intolerance and asked if he’d check with Chef to omit the pesto cream sauce on the escargot. He said Chef could do that. I ordered escargot, filet mignon. Waiter said it came with mashed potatoes and veggie. I asked if kitchen used cream in the potato he aaid yes, i asked for just veggie,. The waiter brought me the escargot and I thought it looked ’”creamy’. He said ge’d check with kitchen. He returned quickky, said cream had been added and took it back to the kitchem. The escargot returned, minus cream and was delicious. When the waiter delivered my entrée, the gorgeous filet was resting on mashed pitstoes! I just looked up at said«wait» he looked at the plate, removed it and went to the kitchen. I’m sorry, this waiter only had 2 tables of two at the time, never looked at the plate in the kitchen twice after hearing the story of my allergy. I can’t imagine what he’s like if its busy.

One of the few jewels of Melbourne and its beaches! I have been coming to this place ever since I moved from Chicago. My fear was that we would not find a decent place to dine out. I was wrong! This is simply great. The atmosphere is awesome! You have an outside area to dine or simply enjoy the evening with wine! The also have an outside dinning area located in the second floor. When you walk inside the bar is located towards the left and sits up to ~16 They also have a PIANO bar which can sit up to 6 A few tables towards the right. A nice foyer with the wine cellar located in the background. The main dinning area is sophisticated and elegant with a contemporary look. Feels slightly like Miami art deco style. Now with regards to the food! I can not stress enough the quality of the food! The lobster bisque is my favorite The baked brie is spectacular Finally, the surf and turf is phenomenal! The manager David is awesome and outgoing! Always willing to help you enjoy your meal in any way! ITISPRICY!!! A decent dinner for 2 = 250+$ with a decent bottle of wine!

reservation made noting anniversary. Started with untrained valet not opening wife door to being seated under cold air duct waitresses had attitude not tolerated by McDonald’s. Shrimp cocktail served without sauce. Prime strip select grade presented with dull table knife. Over priced wine list and nobody ever acknowledged anniversary. .ladies room toilets disgusting. First time with over 300 open table seating never left tip

We came here during our vacation in December. The atmosphere is really nice, especially sitting outside at night by the fireplace. The service was a little slow, but the salads were very good, especially the beet salad. Shrimp cocktail was not great. Bread was good.

For a place that likes to be «upscale», you would think they could do something about the odor that permeates the place.

Had the filet mignon with lobster tail, mashed potatoes and sparagus. The filet was cooked medium well to perfection as ordered. It had great flavor and was very tender. The service provided by William was excellent. Overall it was a great experience. Will definitely be back.

This place was exceptional for the area. I had a great baked brie appetizer, and a 14oz New York Strip. The steak and mashed potatoes was an 8.5÷10 experience for the $ 45 spent. The only reduction from 5 to 4 stars comes to the cocktails. I ordered a Moscow Mule. They didn’t make it like a great craft cocktail place does. they basically threw it together like a «sex on the beach» cocktail you might order from a sports bar for $ 5. Felt weird for the food to be so good, and the attempt at modourne craft cocktails to be so poor. It felt like a $ 140 experience tho and was great compared to other so called surf and turf spots in the zip code. My mom loved her shrimp and grits and I was happy to see it served without the terrible cajun shrimp. Chefs take was better than the way it is served 90% of the time across america. Better grits too.

Had an unforgettable experience at Djon. The location is right by the water when you roll up to complementary valet. We walked in and they have a pianoman singing the classics in their front lounge. Seated in the back, our waiter Michael made us feel right at home. We ordered their house salad, snapper special, and a 12oz filet mignon. Everything was amazing. We took our wine back to the front and relaxed to the wonderful stylings of the singer pianist. Before we went home we took a walk down their pier. T’was a stary warm night that eve. Five Stars.

We came for after we got married & we are thrilled that we chose to eat here on our special day. We began with wine and apps in the lounge(which is eclectically decorated and very comfy) whilst listening to a very cool piano man. The wine was on happy hour even though it was a Saturday night for $ 5 and there were some good app happy hour choices that were good until 6pm. After an hour in the lounge we were in the main dining room for dinner. Perfect noise level and impeccable service from our waiter John. We both chose filets that were cooked to perfection(a tiny bit salty but still delicious) and they came with a house salad which had a great dressing & also mash and green beans. We also ordered lobster Mac and cheese which was good but although there was a lobster taste to it no lobster to be found(no chunks of lobster like at Capital Grille). They knew it was our wedding and brought us a delicious choc cake and ice cream. All in all a five star dinner for all and we would def recommend going for a special occasion. We will be back!

I went to Djon’s as a group, and the bill was paid by someone else. I’ll be honest in saying it’s a bit more expensive than the establishments I typically frequent. The food was all very well prepared, and the rich seafood crêpe was very good + decadent. The shrimp and grits featured very large, flavorful shrimp. But what I really want to commend is the excellent service that our server, David, gave us. It was a large group of 10 women FOODBLOGGERS(a tough crowd to please). When one of the girls in my group didn’t care for her drink but was too shy to say so, he noticed and went to the bar and re-made it himself. He was attentive but not obsequious, and was friendly and inquisitive and fielded all of our questions and was patient with all the photos that come with blogging territory. This young man should be given a raise, because I’m sure that whatever he’s being paid he deserves more!

My DH took me here for a special birthday milestone in July(OK i realize this is september ive been busy :-/). Its located on the end of a pier which we took a walk down on after dinner… you should try that. From the outside it looks like a quaint little house. Once you walk in there’s an elegant room with a piano and we were given the option of sitting in that room or the dining room in the back and we chose the dining room when we went to take a peek. That room was more modern and to my taste. For starter, I had the lobster bisque which was just as everyone described(very good). DH who isnt very fond of lobster bisque had a taste and agreed. For the main course, I had the Sea Bass and it was cooked perfectly. DH had the Filet which he enjoyed. The service was very efficient and the waiter suggested a wine that was the perfect accompaniment for my sea bass. Ambience was nice and romantic and the perfect choice to celebrate my birthday. Very well done.

My wife and I went to the restaurant for our anniversary and was very surprised at the quality of food and service considering we have never heard of this restaurant. Our server, Rebecca was phenomenal and helped to make the special event a memorable one to include accepting delivery of my wife’s roses and presenting them after we were seated. The baked brie and oysters Rockefeller was everything Rebecca described and more. My wife had the Australian lamb chops well I had the bone in tomahawk ribeye. the entire experience was world class and I will definitely be returning as well as recommending this quaint historic restaurant to friends and family in the future.

I visited Djons with a large group of friends to celebrate a couple birthdays. This place is truly a hidden gem. It is located steps away from a beautiful pier. Our group sat outside in the pleasant evening breeze. Te patio area is complete with tiki torches and a gorgeous firepit. Their menu is simple but complete. There are enough options to please anyone’s palate. The meals all come with mashed potatoes and green beans, which is not noted on the menu. Each meal also comes with a salad and fresh warm bread for the table. I decided to order the duck, since steak is something I make frequently for myself. The skin was wonderfully crispy, and the cherry sauce on the side was perfect. My friend ordered the seared scallops which he said we’re delicious, but the portion size was smaller than expected. We briefly visited the inside of the restaurant, which was beautiful. They had someone playing piano and singing an assortment of popular music. Overall, we were all pleased with our experience. It was worth the hour drive from Orlando!

I just expected a little more«bang for my buck». The food was towards the top as opposed to over and I’d say the same for the service. It was a nice experience and I am glad I chose to take my mom there. She was extremely pleased. *Piano bar is lovely.

A great spot, great lounge and bar, separate quiet dining room areas, the live entertainment on Saturday was a trio — piano, sax/flute and drums — they had great stuff from Frank and friends to chicago to you name it. Food was fabulous as was the service. This spot is a sleeper, please only tell your best friends! For more than 5 they have a great private room with plate glass windows overlooking the piano and bar areas, but quiet and apart from the rest of the dining room, seats 8 or so.
